New Ship idea :) The anti Borg specialist

I would like to start by saying I am new to writing on the forums I have read and commented on them but this is the first time writing a new thread so please bear with me.

I had this idea while cleaning my room and finding a huge bag of Lego bricks I thought why not make a STO ship with my own twist to make it unique and cool. so I created a ship that i think would be cool for the game. ill post pictures down below at the end of my writing.

The ship would be a mix of tactical and science, i know we have some of those all ready but do we have one that has a buff against Borg? while I was building the ship i was thinking of how in Star Trek armada 2 the Borg capture 2 Fed vessels one of those the Tonawonda sends vital information to the builders of this ship and they quickly outfit the ship with anti Borg tech. They do this because the ship is being built in the middle of three nebula's a tachyon nebula a lithium nebula and a anyon nebula (I'm not sure if the anyon nebula is in Star Trek lore my mind wandered lol) and the nebula's are located just inside the badlands and the Borg are seen there and they capture the Tonawonda thus sending it to assimilate the builders of this ship and the ship itself. hahaha that's why the ship would be a mix of tactical and science.

The ship would have 4 fore weps and 3 aft like a escort but have the science BOFF seating so commander science and a lieutenant commander tactical and ensign tactical and a lieutenant engineering or something of that manner. Its console slots would be as normal 4 tac 4 sci and 1 eng or if it was a special 10 console an extra eng console slot

so i hope somehow the cryptic team will see this and think "awww yeah this ship is awesome this has to be in the game". note * the ship only has ONE warp pylon but travels as fast as any other ship this Pylon changes from battle mode (down closer to hull) to sector mode (higher from hull) depending on location or situation.

please enjoy, and maybe if this gets enough attention and the Devs see it and like it maybe I will make more Lego ships? hahaha post comments below I'd love to hear your thoughts

New Ship Idea. The interiors of the ships we already have and some missions to go with it.

Legos are Awesome, but already diabolical, ever step on one?

I've seen Death Stars and Super Star Destroyers made with these things!

By the way OP your first Deviantart link is broken.

I only had a problem with the first pic link (took me to deviantart's 404 page), but the others worked.

...I gotta admit, no offense, but it's really, really hard to tell what that's actually supposed to look like. I see a symmetrical shape... ...ish thing... made of multicolored squares. No nacelles on pylons (integrated like escort, maybe?), sort of vaguely Voyager -ish narrow and pointed general profile... maybe, but aside from that I can't make heads or tails of it.

You have my curiosity though. Try doing some ortho drawings.

I could try draw it ;) but it would probably come out worse or not much better than the lego :) yes i know multi coloured bricks are hard to look at but its almost impossible to get hand picked parts, because this project alone it took up about 2-3 hundred bricks

I want to object, but then I remember that basically all I got for Christmas and birthdays for about 13-14 years of my life were LEGO sets.

Instead, I'll point you here and here, which are pretty much exactly for hand-picking parts. There's also the free LEGO Digital Designer, which has (almost) all the pieces.

thank you ;) i never knew there was a hand picking Lego store in NZ Wellington. I will look into buying and re-coloring the ship immediately.

And if you want to arm a crew a lego scale phaser (well near enough) is available from a company called Brickarms (I have Godchildren)

I'm jealous. You guys have real hand-picked Lego stores??? That's just not fair

Finally got the pics to load... As above, the bricks don't do the concept justice, but from your description, I was able to mentally super-impose an idea of what you had in mind, and I rather like it :)

I can vaguely make out a Yoyager-esk shape bristling with weapon emplacements, I can't say I like the idea of a single warp engine, unless it's dual engines in a single nacelle.
I'm thinking that because of the redundancy provided with dual engines, otherwise a single hit could kill the ships stardrive and any other systems that rely on it.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
    Oh Hell NO to ARC

Thats why in a battle the ship would bring the warp engine down so its locked onto the hull. That would provide extra shielding to prevent a one hit KO of the warp engines :)
