    You will find that throughout the game the KDF gets a few better things. Their cruisers are generally considered to be better, as are their carrier pets. You will also find the KDF has far FAR superior resource generation than the Feds. Finally, while there is some disagreement its generally agreed that the KDF has better consoles on some of their C-store ships.

    As to why this all happens... Its pretty much Cryptic's way to make it up to the KDF for not giving them a full level progression and non KDF centric content. You'll notice most of the content meant for both factions seems bland for the Feds but EXTRA bland for the KDF.

    Personally I do not agree with this type of "balancing out" since all it does is create resentment on both sides, but for good or ill Cryptic has decided to stick to it.

    That is pretty much your answer. KDF has a lack of content but usually has better "toys" and ways to obtain resources.

    Don't forget klingons are all Dahar masters in combat.

    And in before they lock another thread that asks the same question that has no grounds to be answered.

    Siphon Drones, wich are due for a fox due to fed outcry. Rightly so mind you as they where out of wack.

    Danube Shuttles, that are tough roving snares.

    Everything else on iether side is fun but fluff.

    Answer: Because the Federation has better mission content and costumes than the Klingons.

    The KDF is just that much better than StarFleet.

    Each faction has advantages and disadvantages, not everything has to be cloned from one to the other, it's all a matter of learning how to play the hand you are dealt.
    Does anyone have any powdered cheese to go with the popcorn?
