C-Store Ship Question

Is there really no workaround for having to have a high enough level character to unlock a ship? If not that's a bummer, I was going to get a ship for my Klingon before the sale ended but I haven't actually finished leveling him to 50..

    They go on sale every couple of months. If you miss this one, there'll be another soon.

    Yeah but how am I going to motivate myself to play that Klingon without a shiny new ship at the end of the tunnel? I'll be right back in this same boat when that sale rolls around. ;)

    It's a nitpick, I know, just was caught by surprise when I tried to hand Cryptic money and they said "no, you keep it." :o
