Attempted to launch via GameClient.exe, crashed. So the error is with the Executable. GG on the epic fail cryptic. Guess you wont get my Vesta money now, since I cant even play.
Uh, my issue is completely different from yours. I cant even get the game to launch since this patch. At least you are getting in somewhat.
I wouldn't call crashing before I see the loading screen 'getting in'. But many people's games are crashing for more reasons than I can count. What on earth Cryptic did, it broke something important.
They need to fix this ASAP. doesn't matter how far we get, problem still stands that we can't play.
After the new patch, when press "Engage" game crash!
Same here, only had problems with the game since season 7

Had the same issue when season 7 patched. Had to uninstall STO and redownload and patch. New Patch Dropped Just did the uninstall and re-install. Tried Force verify and multiple ways to get it going, Even dropping it into compatibility mode and Administrator. Starts to boot the STO GUI up after Clicking Engage and instant Crashs.

Locked in my problem. It seems that whatever cryptic did with the last patch, caused an incompatibility error with TS3 Overlay. It worked fine before the patch though.

Cryptic Quality Patching at its finest.
Just Disabled overlay on mine and sadly it still crashed But I will say in Defense of Cryptic It's not there responsibility to be compatible with a third party program Especially when its Rival is built into there software. Team Speak even warns the overlay is not compatible with all programs. As long as Cryptic works with the Pure operating system it works on the program works. Does it help to be compat with other programs, Sure. But not there job to be compatible with everything that is not part of the STO package.

No wonder you're not commanding a Starship.
