So a couple of weeks ago, i was just doing some normal work on my computer, when all of a sudden i start hearing sounds like im watching an ad on a youtube video or something. i clse every window and it still keeps going, and this is like some commercial for batman or something, but i dont give a **** cuase its as irritating as ****. i open up task manager, but it doesnt show up there either, so i thought i might have a virus or something. i have spywire, antivirus, and antimalware software on my computer, and i all had them "fix" whatever they found, but this kept coming back, form diet **** to banana monkey.com or some other thing, until i looked on the STO website (since this never happened until i started playing the game) and i saw that it says that the vivox vioce chat is ad supported. i then thought that somehow the vivox was running ads on my computer (how its doing it without me being able to see it or shut it down i dont know) even when im not playing the game. ive found that going into my hard drive and searching "vivox" pulls up 3 .dll executable files that i always just put in the trash. problem with that is, i cant do that while the game is running (says the ****ing files in use, just ****ing delete it anyway i dont care) and whenever i open the game launcher up in the future, it alwasy patches the things right back in.
i understand that you probably need the money from ads Cryptic and PWE, but
A) i dont use the ****ing vivox vioce chat, i usse teamspeak, which is a hell of a lot better
at least give us a way to shut the damn thing off, since i dont like having the thing just download and run **** on my computer whether im playing the game or not.
has anyone else had this problem? if so, could you please offer any advice on this cuase ive put up with it till now, but its really starting to TRIBBLE me off.:mad::mad::mad:

I don't care how long you've been playing. I only care about how you play.

No money spent, no weird uninstall, no hacking needed. I'm a F2P and I haven't heard an ad in almost a year since i started.
This, seriously. You're not losing anything.
99% of people don't use it.
0.8% don't use it but leave it open so you can hear their radio, television, or pets
0.1% are totally so high right now you wouldn't believe it man
0.09% try to use it but are completely ignored by everyone around them.
The remaining 0.01% who are legitimately using it should be using Teamspeak or Ventrillo instead.
