So i was really shocked when i discovered that it is not possible to remove a project once you have started it, and i really don't see why that should not be possible. I recently started a project that i later decided was not worth the cost, but i got to finish whether i like it or not. To me it seems really unnecessary, please if you agree post a response, maybe Cryptic will do something about it.
I never understood and perhaps never will, why we just cannot cancel pending assignments. I mean the foundation for the assignments is the DoFF system and we can cancel those. Why in hell not reputation and Fleet projects...

I understand why you can't cancel fleet projects (it'd mean you have to keep track of not only WHAT was donated but also BY WHO was it donated), but reputation projects... there I agree with you.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Yes Fleet projects is understandable, but Reputation projects is personal, if they are afraid of people canceling by mistake why not make it the same way as when you dismiss a Bridge officer or discharge a ship? make us type in Remove "project name" or something like that.
I also accidentally picked the Borg Neural Processor conversion project and had to farm them.
At least allow removing the project while its still empty. As it is, you can't even remove a project from the "Select Next Project" slot, only replace it with a different project.
So i sent a email to Cryptic CS and asked them if they why this is not possible and here is the Answer.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback! Star Trek Online is a living and evolving experience. As such, the Game will continue to change as we implement and polish new features.
If you wish to discuss your feedback with the game community, we encourage you to do so on the official forums (which you can reach through the forum link on the launcher).
Kind regards,

Can't really say if they will do something about it or if we are screwed.
I was careless in upgrading to t1 and picked turn in borg marks instead, so I had to go farm 5 of those just to get back on track.
Now I am waiting another hour for the actual unlock
I did the same thing!
I wanted to upgrade Reputation but i went fast and clicked the useless Birg Neural turn in for 1000 Dilithium...
Can't cancel it now and it forces me do to 5 Elite STF just ot get rid of it ( At least i used to like Elite STFs, but with no loot, they are just freakin chore ).

Color me unimpressed by the Dev team, once again.
