I think the timers on the reputation system are way to long its takeing me two days to open the store and I only have 17 hours left they really need to shorten the timers
Agreed, I'm loving Season 7 but my only complaint (besides the bugs) is that the project timers in the Reputation system are too long. I agree that 20hrs sounds about right. I'd even go as far to say as they should offer two different versions of each project, one like it is now with the same timer and another that costs more marks to complete but has a shorter timer.
20 hours actually would be reasonable for tiers 0-3, from 3 to 4 i would bump it to like 26 hours, and for tier 4 to 5 i would have it at the current times.....its like what they do with the starbase as you go up in teirs the time to upgrade increases. I heard that the t4 to t5 starbase took 2 weeks, but that was just a rumor....
I don't mind most timers being as they are, what annoys me is that it takes most of 2 days to walk upto someone and say here's my proif of being this rank, can I look at your stuff please. that should take 12 hours at most!
As much as I may or may not agree, look at what they based it off of. They based it off of the Starbase system, which is supposed to be a long term investment, something you do a little of every day. The same goes for this new rep system. It's a long term investment, not a shoot up to tier 5 in 3 days kind of thing.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
I don't mind the wait, That way I can do something other than grind for the reputation at least. Like grinding for the Starbase.
One thing I would like to have (maybe as another gold perk) to have an auto-filling setting that puts contribution ingredients directly into the project if they are available.
That way I would not have to get up in the middle of the night to start a new project without a time loss if i already have all the stuff I need waiting in my inventory/bank.

THe problem with this is, Starbase projects take time in part because materials require SOME effort to get.
then the timers.
Reputation, That's ALL Timers.
I've got enough materials for the ten missions, EASILY enough to get into tier three, nearly 1000 Omega Marks and 600 Romulan Marks.
I agree that you're not supposed to rip through this, but when the only thing slowing you down is a timer and not effort spent gathering amterial, it's annoying and an obvious time sink.
Like I said before, make the little missions shorter and increase the length of the upgrade missions.
Actually I like it because it does not feel like I am being rushed. I have staggered Romulan and Omega timers so I am moving from Romulan PvE one night, and Borg Red Alerts the next. Once I've racked up enough, I go and play some different content.
I'm new here, so I'm in the dark on a lot of things. What is the timer set to? I contributed to a few options and the project is just sitting there. How long before I can submit again? It's been two days, and I'm ready to abandon my contributions

Why are you re-opening a 3 yr old thread? It was a different game then.
this is going to hit any new players who are taking advantage of the delta requite hardest.
I feel lucky to have maxed out reps before so it takes less time but new players are going to have weeks waiting.
at the very least i think delta requites should have been given something similar to the rad bonus and be able to get automatically tier 2 or 3 of one rep.

I'm going to take a guess here that you're asking about the Omega/Nukara/Romulan/Delta/Dyson reputations.
Do NOT cancel your project, you'll lose everything you put into it. The timer will only start once you have contributed all the needed items. Once all of the items are donated and each window shows them being 100% full, the project will start.
You can add items at any time, if you're not at 100%, as long as you actually HAVE the items needed. If you don't have any Expertise, you can't donate. Same with Energy Credits and the specific marks for the project. Having 70 Omega marks means nothing if you're trying to start a Dyson project.
