So I was walking down the street today and I came across a strange store on a corner I'd never noticed before. The sign out the front of it said store but all the windows were blacked out, the front door locked and there was no indication about what was inside it whatsoever.
After a while the store owner came out and told me I could enter and buy stuff If I spent a large amount of time and effort doing some favours for him. I just stood there thinking, wtf... you want me to spend god knows how much time and effort just to be able to SEE what you have availiable, with no guarantee I would even want anything inside once I do get in?
...okay so none of this ever happened, that store doesn't exist because it would be the stupidest thing I've ever seen if it did... so why do the Romulan and Omega reputation stores work this way? Is there something wrong with letting us know what were putting our time and effort into even if we can't purchase the items until we reach the required tier?
This is my only issue with season 7 so far, absoultely loving everything else... but found this one thing beyond obserd.
I guess I need to log in and find out what all these changes are about. I played again during the Tribble test weekend and when i got the part you had to chase bunnies I thought "You've got to be kidding me". I just went AFK and waited for my hour to wind down. The entire romulan thing looked like a poorly thought out joke. Ive had no reason to bother with the game since Season 6 since I dont care about starbases and fleets.
If you knew what was behind the curtains you might be enticed to not bother with the system thereby playing less.
I really really hope this isn't the case, as not showing us what's availiable due to there being nothing of worth would be catastrophic, so instead I will just hope the people at cryptic simply don't realize how silly the way they've done it is they read my opening post.
Tho you do raise another point I hadn't thought of, if other people wonder why this may be the reason it is hidden as well, then the way they've arranged the reputation store is laughable in more ways than I thought.
Sorry to hijack thread as I can not post on my own yet, simple reputation question if you have your task force reputation things going and have filled them all do you still have to wait for 1day+ for it to complete ?

Yeah after you fill in all the required item it then takes a specific amount of time to progress, and don't worry about hijacking the thread :-P
So make sure you have enough alts to fit your playing time.
And for op I agree it is misleading to call it a "store" like you magically unlock a warehouse full of items, when in fact you have to unlock several permissions just to be allowed to unlock the individual items
Way more problematic than that though; not being allowed to read stats or view the visuals of items before a purchase.
Guess we will have to wait until someone shows up in the gear one day or links it here on the forum on in the in-game chat.

Seriously? If that's true them now I'm seriously starting to worry about who organized this so called 'store'.
