Insane Cure space - how they do that?

Just did a Cure space on Elite and someone destroyed the cubes without doing the nanothings, they fired at the cube it took a little damage but repaired almost instantly and then exploded. I assume it must be a crit hit from a high yield torpedo of some kind combined with what?

How did they get the crit hit with such reliability? What was the weapon?

    Like they have the time to redesign an entire STF anyway.....

    Or fix the if one crit all crit bug.....

    Lets be honest they really do need neutering a tad,

    Photonic shockwave 3 used to be the 'boom- what just happened' and it got FIXED, not 'nerfed'

    Trics are the lazymans kill, dont get me wrong, its insidiously fun in a brel, but yeah
    [Combat (Self)] Your Bite deals 2378 (1475) Physical Damage(Critical) to Spawnmother.

    I tried those myself a month ago, must have not been getting in close enough. I assume this method uses the Tricobolt Tac consoles?

    ive been playing with tric mines in ker'ret without any mine consoles, and often still got 20k+ on all 4 mines (a Sci captain in a brel) 1mine shield face down, 2nd 20k hull, 3rd 20k hull 4th finishing boom.

    In my tactical captain in a science ship (only dispersal 1) so two mines, with buffs and energy drains to kill a cubes shields, i managed a whopping 100k per mine, (was the IGE cube at start, so multi debuffs where on it, but still...)

    The tricobalt mines are silly stupid I'n damage
    Right now
    We got some guys I'n our fleet that can take out
    A cube I'n cure elite the same way

    All 3 cubes down I'n like 4 minutes with 2 guys using
    Mine layers

    It's silly

    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

    I think in 4 we get elit weapons ground and space as well as consoles

    Tried it with Tac Capt in Scourge with Borg Mk 12 Trics and Beta 2, and only get 3 mines not 4.

    use beta 3.

    For tricobolts it is: Disperal Pattern #+1=total mines.

    Officer training is only offering Beta 1 and 2 not 3, in fact the only Commander level Tac space ability at the Klingon barracks that I get offered is Omega 3.
