Whilst i'm happy to see it go, trust me, compared to actual gear costs the costs of the rep teirs are pretty laughable dil wise so it dosen't amount to much.
It actually isn't working properly in most instances, unfortunately. We're still working out the kinks and we'll get it back in as soon as we're able.
There were only two instances in my testing where it didn't work as intended. One was solved by publishing, so its not a big deal at all. The other was caused when I broke up a ground group and put them in different rooms. Fine, tell everyone not to do that.
So what else, precisely, is wrong with it? In every other test of mine it worked flawlessly.
I don't think this is something I can be lenient with you guys on. I'm absolutely fine with it being taken out if there's an issue, but this is a major feature that we have asked for for as long as I can remember, and it really needs to be given as much attention as possible so it can be put back in as quickly as possible. This is not one of those times when you can get away with saying "Oh yeah we'll get it back in" and then have a year go by with no progress.
You can't keep taking stuff away from Foundry authors. Vesta, Timeships and Bajoran Robes were all put in the foundry, where are they now? Why are they being withheld when we know they work perfect well in the foundry? (granted vesta needed textures).
We need your help to help you make this game better.
conversion rate is a bad joke, just as the emblem2dil conversion. So zero, before giving us some wishfull thinking speak again. Please ask for the squishy brain, and tell us how going from 200k DIl to 4k, or going from 6 Mk XII set pieces, to the BNP equivalent of 2 is retaining our purchasing power, or respecting the time we put in.
I don't know if this the correct area to post this. If it is please let me know where to post.
I logged onto the Tribble server and the game started out great. The colors were crisp and the characters and ships are realistic. However, when I'm fighting or just moving around the game will, don't really know how to put this, it will go back to my PC's desktop and then back to the game. It will do this several times and the lock up my computer. I have never had a game lockup my PC since Windows XP came out. I cant ALT Tab to my desktop or anything. I have to shut my PC off then restart. I don't think its my computer, I have a Dell Insperon 580 with Windows 8 Release Preview 64bit OS, 6gigs of RAM. I don't think that is the cause of this issue. My internet is DSL 3mgs, again I don't think its the issue. I have no problems on the holodeck server, or whatever server STO logs on to.
I hope someone is also is having this problem so I dont think its my system
Are Borg Currency conversion rates binned? If so, that makes it really hard to tell which of our stuff we can safely convert over to equipment and dil. If they are not large bins, then the tooltips on the crates are very broken.
If I played my hour on tribble with an older version of my toon and then import the current version over (to see what I get in my conversion box) do I lose out on my Tribble reward?
Can you possibly add in a fix to the power tray, so I don't have to keep reloading my skills every time I switch ships please? This bug has been ongoing for months and is extremely annoying.

Given the changes to starbase missions and DOFF requirements for them. I couldnt care less about the doff grinder now. Its expensive but you're looking for more power. I can actually live with that.
(White duty officers only being required for starbase upgrades)

While it will be interesting to see what happens post season 7, can I at least ask for a compromise to all this rip stuff away from newer players philosophy which has been adopted?
At end game we have sets ranging from MK X (sort of okay'ish) to MK XII (super) with MK XI (okay) in the middle. So why exactly are all of these dilithium chargeable? Surely it would make more sense and give a better play experience to allow people to at least get the MK X for free as they sort of are now so they are incentivised to get the more expensive varieties later. It would also help quell the torrents of anger of having stuff taken away from players.
Right now there is a big danger that Cryptics policy will only push potential players away due to enormous constraints put on them to get even the most basic rewards.
We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
ST.25.20121026a.8
General:
Added a section about the Foundry Spotlight to the "What's New in Season 7" help screen.
Foundry: Animation selections are now properly filtered and validated by region.
Foundry: Removed the Patrol behavior.

Room two now requires players to restart the virus upload after a team wipe.
Borg encounter now spawns when room is in phase two and the timer resets after team wipes.

New Romulus:
Added a short description to the glowing plants and resonating rocks for the collection quest.
Updated the mission in the Ruins mission so that player can get credit on main mission for working on the event mission.

Systems:
Omega Conversion Crates are live!
All characters that previously possessed any Encrypted Data Chips, Borg Salvage, Borg Tech or STF Equipment Requisitions will find an Omega Conversion Crate in their inventory.
All instances of the aforementioned items should have been removed from their inventory and bank.
There are several different tiers of conversion that players may have fallen into, based on the amount of the aforementioned items they possessed.
Right-Click your crate and choose "Info" to see the exact contents of yours.
Omega Conversion Crates will remain locked until the character that possesses them reaches Tier 3 of the Omega Reputation.
Deploying carrier pets and other summoned powers no longer causes a player's power levels to rise dramatically.
Corrected incorrect icon for Borg Neural Processor input on T5 Omega Weapon project
Corrected incorrect Dilithium input requirement value on Purple Mk 12 Reman Deflector
The display name for the Tier 5 Romulan power was changed to Quantum Singularity Manipulation.
Increased the duration of Quantum Singularity Manipulation to 8 seconds.
Quantum Singularity Manipulation cloaks the user 3 seconds after it is initiated for the remaining 5 seconds of the power.
Reputation:
Removed Dilithium costs from all Reputation XP projects on both Romulan and Omega reputations.
Affected projects are:
File Situation Report on Status of the Borg Threat
Submit Research Materials to Omega
Support Colonization Efforts of the Romulan Star Empire
Support the Romulan Star Empire
Some commodity inputs were also adjusted, but total cost of these projects was unchanged other than the removal of the Dilithium cost.
Updated the abilities and tuned the Borg Queen Diamond.
Corrected display name inconsistency on input requirement of Mk X Omega Ground Weapon.
Updated the EV Suit Tholians to be a little harder better faster stronger.
UI:
Re-enabled the Submit Project for Featuring button in the Foundry, and updated its associated message.
Unique icons have been given to various classes of ships in the ship selector.
Romulan Bridge Officers now display Male or Female on the store before you purchase them.
Updated the ship tailor contact to show individual options for each ship type you want to edit.
Resolved a UI/Power issue that was preventing players from being able to activate some EV Suits.
Updated the account button on the login and character selection screens to go to a working URL.
Fleet and Officer channels will no longer appear for characters not in a Fleet.
Known Issues:
Many ships are not accepting changes made in the ship tailor.
When both a ship and shuttle are selected, the player always ends up on their shuttle bridge.
It's not possible to rename a ship if player also has a shuttle equipped.
crates i thought we put suff in everything went in so wait for tier 3?

The epoh timer's change is also a nice touch.
So far looks good.
Could you tell us a bit more of these tiers, how many are there and which does effect more, number of Edcs, Tech etc or number of played stfs ?

I got no issue with the prices now
Is there some way to un-equip your shuttle or are you stuck once you've done that?

This was my point though, MK X is hardly premium and since it is cheap what do they lose by making it more readily available?

I dont have all the numbers in my Head but i think it was 6500 Dilithium per Item for MK X Set at least for ground.
