So I did an Enterprise-E build for all versions of the Sovereign, including the Mirror Star Cruiser.
But, I rushed it, and I feel like I didn't do a good job, so here's what I'll do.
Below is a build for the Regent-class cruiser. JUST the Regent-class.
Let's start with weapons. The Enterprise-E had quantum torpedoes in the fore section along with photon torpedoes in the aft section. So, here's how we'll load the weapons.
-Lt. Commander Tactical
Tactical Team 1
Beam Fire-At Will 2
Torpedo High Yield 3
-Ensign Tactical
Tactical Team 1 or Torpedo Spread 1
Commander Engineering
Emergency Power to Shields 1
Reverse Shield Polarity 1
Auxiliary to Structural 2
Warp Plasma 2
Lt. Commander Engineering
Emergency Power to Engines 1
Directed Energy Modulation 1
Extend Shields 2
Universal Station
I strongly suggest using Lieutenant Science.
Science Team 1
Hazard Emitters 2
Consoles: The meat of a ship.
Engineering (4)
EPS Flow Regulator
RCS Accelerator
Ablative Hull Armor (You could also use Neutronium Hull Armor)
Field Emitter
Science (2)
Emitter Array
Field Generator
Tactical (3)
Metreon Gas Console
Phaser Relay
Directed Energy Distribution Manifold
Have fun. And let history never forget the name, Enterprise!
Dreadnought class. Two times the size, three times the speed. Advanced weaponry. Modified for a minimal crew. Unlike most Federation vessels, it's built solely for combat.
If I remember correctly from Nemesis, the Enterprise-E also has Fore Photon Torpedoes
I tried to do a similar build with Quantum and Photon Fore and Photon Aft but I found that having one less beam array in the front kinda hurt me a bit. So I have equipped my Regent with Quantum Fore and Aft
My Boff layout on the Regent is as follows
Ensign Tactical Station
Tactical Team 1
Lt. Commander Tactical Station
Beam Overload 1
High Yield Torpedo 2
Torpedo Spread 3
Lieutenant Universal Station ( I went with Tac)
Fire at Will 1
Torpedo Spread 2
Commander Engineering Station
Emergency Power to Shields 1
Reverse Shield Polarity 1
Engineering Team 3
Auxiliary to Structural 3
Lieutenant Engineering Station
Emergency Power to Shields 1
Engineering Team 2
Consoles (Going from Memory on this one)
Engineering (4)
Metreon Gas Console
RCS Accelerator
RCS Accelerator
Hull Armor ( I switch this up depending who I'm up against)
Or how about scraping the current Regent and give us a real refit. I hardly see Regents now. The idea flopped
And why do Regents suck???....b/c there's usually stories or eye witness accounts of them getting *blown up* in PVP. WASTE of a ship. PWE really struck out on this one.

And this makes me a little sad. People shouldn't use ships because they're "good in PvP"
They should use them because they like the ship.

When I heard about the new assault my first thoughts was its about time we finally get a real assault starship bridge. Only to find out, that they are charging people what 30 bucks for a skin, and some things that will give them a edge in pvp I could careless about props. To me a starship is its lore, and its bridge. These are things I look for in a ship. Call me old fashion but I play star trek online for a complete ship, not just a skin for sector space.

The new assault, or Regent, isn't just a skin. It has a couple of new features, like the Metreon Gas Canisters Console, or Riker Maneuver which has served me well, and the 180 degree Quantum Torpedo Launcher that are amazing, specially when your using Torpedo Spread 3 lol
Also the +10 on weapons instead of the +5 on the Sovereign. Might not justify the $30 for you to spend, but I personally love the Assault Cruiser and didn't mind shelling out the money
The things you listed are just props, I mean seriously you ever had the displeasure to take on the Klingons in pvp. Those players know how to fight, and more importantly no +5 weapon, or any prop is going to help anyone out in pvp. I just dont see the point to it. Why they keep ignoring something as Iconic as the bridge is beyond me.
I might not even mind it much if they were not asking for 30 bucks a ship, if it was something like 20 that would be a different story. You realize for 2 ships, you are paying enough money to buy the newest pc game on the market. Sorry for going a little off topic, but I am just saying the assault needs a real bridge, the current assault bridges are too big. Just my thoughts.

I quite enjoy the regent actually. The more tactical layout, the bonus weapon power, and the wide angle torp launcher are all great and make for a fun ship. Like others have said, I use the sov skin so it isn't obvious that its the regent unless you take the time to check the profile.
Isn't the regent basicly a rejected design for the Soveirgn class anyway,I remember seeing the picture, it is the forward sweeping pylons that I remember most

Thats it exactly, to be honest I am suprised cyptic don't do that more often, use the rejected ideas, like the rejected Voyager that had the more arrow shaped saucer and downward nacelle pylons
And why do Regents suck???....b/c there's usually stories or eye witness accounts of them getting *blown up* in PVP. WASTE of a ship. PWE really struck out on this one.
It's not necessarily the ship that's the fault for that, credit also has to be given for the captains. Alot of people look at the ship like its supposed to be an Excelsior on steroids, and it isnt, it isnt as flexible (or maneuverable). I use it as an "in the pocket" sort of starhip and it works fine. Use it like an Excelsior (highly maneuverable and still some engineering/science capability) and it wont work.
Given the recent revelation of the Vesta, they should give the Regent a fourth Tactical console slot.
THAT would boost sales of the Regent. I'm shopping and the extra Tac console would sell me!
When I was considering my escort, I was looking at the C-Store MVAE/Prometheus - to for a test drive, I got the regular AE... I love it so much that I don't care to BUY the MVAE, especially with the forum reports of the bugs with it's NPC components. The AE is awesome in STFs.
I might just get the regular Sovereign. Minus the power boosts, console goodies and a minor rearrangement of the BOff slots, the Regent is not radically different from the stock AC for about 1725 more Zen.
Adding a Tactical console slot to the Regent would be BIG functional difference. To balance, take away a console slot from either Eng or Sci.
IMHO, adding tricks can't really sell as much. Is this REALLY a true Refit?

They should have just done the refit based of nemesis enterprise e and have the wide angle q-torp built into the ship so I can do the 4 phasers and 4 photon torp set up or 6 beams and 2 photon torp. They need to redo the regent class again, to me even though I like the design still feels and looks like it was rushed. It did not even have a test run on tribble!!!!! Also had new weapons and skin tight shields!!!! Plus john eaves the designer did a redone vision of the refit of the nemesis skin. We would have seen a new design at the end of nemesis but they took it out due to budget but someone did a cgi version and made it better. That's what I am doing right now, albeit I am splitting time between this ship and the Chimera.
Consoles are crazy too. There's a cruiser thread in the PVP forum, you should check that out.

So true but it is hard to use a ship that is outclassed by so many ways. What STO needs is balance.

1) Teamwork and timing is #1
2) You cannot "Kirk It" in every ship
3) You are going to die, just get back up

Commanding Officer: Captain Pyotr Ramonovich Amosov
Dedication Plaque: "Nil Intentatum Reliquit"
*puppy eyes*
/agreed. Even if we have to get it as a Tier 2-3 fleet variant, I think I'd be ok with that.
You mean the "chicken in a pan" version here: Original Enterprise-E Design.
