I was thinking earlier, about all the season 7 changes again, when I had a thought I'd like to share:
What if it isn't even so much the grindiness of all this new stuff, but the lack of not feeling like you're actually doing something? We'll be grinding out these new missions and such when season 7 hits, but I think for many of us, it won't feel like we're truly making a difference within the game.
Maybe I'm the one who's crazy, but putting aside the huge costs of Starbases, at least that feels like you're truly making something happen because you see the Starbase slowly, but surely expanding.
The new Rep systems don't really have that at all. You just grind out the stuff, put in the resourses for the missions, and move on.
I think that is something that seems to be missing more and more with all the new stuff, and lack of true story missions, I don't think people feel like they're making a difference.
Even grindy content would be a step less bad if it felt like something was happening for all our time and effort put into it.
I'm not trying to speak for anyone of course, just bringing up a point I thought of earlier.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
If you view dumping endless amounts of resources into fleet garbage disposals, I mean, starbases as "doing something" then you will be happy to know there are going to be fleet embassies on the new Romulan planet that work the same way.
The Romulan Rep system seems more interesting compared to the Omega Rep system. Completing the Omega Rep system just gives you some powers and equipment. The Romulan Rep system has more impact on your character. Completing tiers unlock missions that provide depth to New Romulus. It would be interesting if future reputations will give a similar effect rather than just powers and equipment.

Well I know about the embassies, but I didn't really say whether I liked or not liked it, this is again just about the whole feeling of accomplishment, or lack there-of all this seems to have sometimes.
Putting aside the costs, at least you are making something with the Starbases and Outposts. With others at that.

I agree. I wouldn't mind it so much if there were better trophies, stuff that can be improved on my ship, better Captain/Crew progression... Stuff like that would help.
