This Cant Be Right

After endgaming my fed i finally got to get on my klingon and what do i find but all PvP missions which is great, until i actually press the PvP button and find not one single que to join and this is a week of logging in and out checking for them. so what, im supposed to just sit in kar'rat and spend the next year slowly grinding up scanning encryptions until eventually getting to the endgame and likely finding it to be as dead and disappointing as it is for feds? and they think im going to sub for that? the sad thing is SWTOR is going absolutely down the pan becoming more level-to-win and now its about to throw in a hoard of Free2play nubs who cant do enough regular Ops/warzones to get good at them but ofcourse there will be enough of them to continuously ruin and i imagine grief subbing teams durin said Ops, is STO really going to fail to capitalize and snatch these disappointed players who will be looking for a similar MMO that doesn't fail? you all may be happy with a basic RPG but do you also like your game to maintain and grow its player base? because every pvp orientated player that enters this game is walking strait back out pointing back and chuckling including a bunch of swtor players i roped in myself who just couldn't get ques. think about that for a second this game had over 1000.000 subscriptions, steam shows 2k playing i wonder what happened there . /rant

I agree it is odd no one plays pvp, especially on the klingon side; heck, i can't even get my starter pvp quests completed on the fed side
I hope this doesn't follow CoH down the drain
A suggestion might be to make pvp more accessible. good luck

Go to kerrat. Plenty of PVP there for a klink.

The reason so few klingons play pvp any more is that feds dont queue against them very often. There is a decent amount of feds that play fed vs fed pvp. But to fight klingon vs fed is a bit of a wait and klingon vs klingon is ALWAYS dead.

Part of what hurts pvp is premades. Me and my friends got sick of getting rolled by them when we queued solo. We found a good solution though. We made our own. We still lose to alot of premades. But we beat some.

If you want to really get into pvp get 4 friends and make a team. If you cant find 4 people then join a fleet thats into pvp.

you do realise you can level a klink to 50 without doing any PVP, there are enought PVE missions to get you there.

Where did this post come from...2010?

A forum post should be like a woman's skirt, long enough to cover the subject matter but short enough to keep things interesting.

Some people may want to level via PvP only. I do, but I found out that trying to level via PvP only Fed-side (and probably Klink side too) is impossible. The Ker'rat missions are dailies, PvP C&H and Arena too and sitting in Ker'rat can be fun - after you hit commander. For lower levels it's just another form of PvE as there is no FVF in Ker'rat.

So yeah, no wonder no one plays PvP those times.

PvP is actively ignored by Cryptic since launch. Do not be surprised.

    *waves his hands*

"This is not the PvP game you are looking for..."
"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
