The last two matches I played against a "not-to-be-named" premade the strangest thing happened.
All my weapons showed their CD's as if they were firing, but absolutely nothing was happening.
No visual FX and I saw no DPS against the target either.
What was strange as well, was I was firing into the flank of a cruiser??? So, what debuff could a cruiser cause? Even if it was capable of doing that, would it not have to be facing me?
And it happened against other ships too. When I asked members of my team, they said that they were also experiencing similar issues.
[ This was not TarWeaSub. I've seen that. This was something completely different. My weapons were perma-offline. ]

I've seen Scramble Ghost Out my abilities from time to time (where nothing could be activated, not even power level switches). I have not been able to replicate it personally as of yet. I'm hoping someone from a pvp fleet that amply uses Scramble will be so kind as to offer me a test session so we can try to chase it down.
As far as the weapons thing I don't know where to start on that either. This is the first I'd heard of this since PSW got fixed.
This happened to me in a fleet defense last night. It seemed to right itself but I didn't check my debuffs fast enough to point at a culprit.
All weapons on the weapon bar indicated they were firing but nothing was happening. Thought I'd been transported to that holo ship at the end of Insurrection.

LOL... Insurrection. I'd almost managed to forget that movie was ever made. Thanks for bringing it back to memory :P
I've ran into simular problems, myself here lately. It's not IP lag nor processor lag, in my case, as I run a T1 line and a dual quad Alienware Area 51 with 12 gigs of RAM.
It appears to me to be nothing more than the Cryptic engine lagging out. I'm not sure exactly how STO handles CDs but TOR uses client to control CDs and the hero engine will not always pick up the keystrokes (altho the CD happens).
The engine seems to not be keeping up here lately. Dstahl did mention that he had more players in STO lately and this is probably the culprit. Not to mention that the added 20 man fleet groups are heavy now and the engine definatly has problems with those. Any1 remember launch when there was 700K+ playing?
A "season" just to get the Cryptic engine optimized might be a good thing to do now Before all the threads of "the engine is terrible" happen again and/or TOR's outcome.

LOL! I remember post beta. LMAO! Earth Space Dock was a no go for me. :P
bort i can't remember jack **** sometimes, but after playing this game for over 2 years i do know what should not be happening.
so if run my buffs outside 10k after picking my target, evasives and fire around 7k, with no one targeting me, or debuffs on my bar...there really should be no lockout.
i will do my best to reproduce the results, and report if i can.......which will be easy, because all i do is escort pvp. i'll get some footage if i can.
I've been finding that Auto-fire no longer functions correctly on my torp boat. Just stops firing after a few cycles, and space bar doesn't do anything. Clicking on the weapons still fires them though. Perhaps it's related to this in some way?

i have the same issues with torps. had to put them on a keybind on manual fire. Last I checked, mines also dont start autofiring until you manually fire the first one
To OP, I had a similar experience a few weeks ago that I believe was caused by scramble sensors. My weapons and abilities that target other players would not activate at all, there were no timers being displayed on the inactive abilites so it may be something completely different than your experience. It was pretty consistent with the scramble sensors glitch I've heard described by other forum members and a team mate that was also affected knew that fixing it required logging out and logging back in.
That said, if it was only you I'd believe it might have been a hardware performance issue somewhere along the line, if it was happening to your teammates as well and you didn't notice the other team having similar issues that sounds like a bug being triggered.

Depending on what you experienced that may have been around since a month before season 6 launch if not longer. I had issues with torps refusing to fire at all on a torp heavy cruiser if there were more than 5 or 6 of them set to autofire. I remember having to disable autofire then start manually firing them at least one time.
For those that are curious, the basic concept was 2xturret,4xquantum,2xTricobolt and 3xTorp Doffs to maximize the Tricobolt DPS potential while sending quantum's everywhere. At one point I even had 8 torps on this ship.
The concept seemed sketchy on paper and failed in a spectacular manner when tried but I was hoping for something a little different for STF grinding. This was before the transphasic buff and at the time I was hoping the new/improved rapid reload transphasics would replace the quantums post season 6. Ended up being a total time waster that cost a handful of EC.
I've found myself sometimes trying to auto-fire and having to keep hitting auto fire or sometimes it not working at all.
This usually happens when I'm playing bops though but not anything else. The only other thing ppl experience close to this in just PvE is fighting tholians, fek'ihr, and klingon npcs though but usually science team removes those debuffs and to lesser extent hazard emitters.
This sounds similar to what happened to me a couple of times last night. Was flying my Tac/Raptor, lined up on my target nicely and all my forward weapons were stuck in a continuous 1 second cooldown animation. Turrets at the rear continued to fire correctly, power levels looked normal, so it wasn't a disable weapons proc or jam sensors type thing, just couldn't get the front weapons to fire.
Most annoying...

..Could be from client side lag, server lag, data packet loss, etc....

and its not BP...... i have 4 tac teams for that.
but yeah, all the sudden.... a nice 8 second weapon cooldown and i just went through my alpha buff cycle.
i thought i was just drunk, which is usually the case....
Could this be related to the UI lock-out being reportedly caused by Confuse effects?

Running one EPTX with another EPTX causes a drift of around 3 seconds or so.
They would sync properly just a month ago.
The trick of fitting an EPTX between two EPTS powers by only putting 6 points into the EPTX power no longer works without a 3 second drift.
Please fix this, Cryptic dudes.
