Issue with Lockbox Mirror Qin

So, because I refuse throw my money away by playing the lottery on a ship I'll probably never get, I bought myself a Mirror Qin and unpacked only to find that it's basically just a reskin of the normal Qin Raptor. Same Bridge officer seats as the level 40 Qin, and I am quite disappointed by this.

Would of been nice if it was in the patch notes or something that the stats were changed, would of avoided buying it in the first place.

    Yeah, me too. I was hoping for a raptor without the usless ensing tac, but no -.-.

    BUG!!! I only got a Mirror Qin for the ensign engineering slot as stated on star trek wiki and the release notes Was my only reason to get the Mirror Qin and only main difference between Mirror Qin and Normal Qin. So would like STO to fix this !!! Or I wasted a chunk of EC. Also some would of wasted real money on it!!!

    Why is it the KDF mirror ships they TRIBBLE up with but not Fed? I mean like witht he mirrior vorcha...said it had 10 power to weapons and engines and 5 to all systems...instead get a copy of the same old ship in gold colors again. :(

    There are two possibilities:

    Incompetence beyond belief

    Deceptive intentions.

    Pick the one you think fit the most.

    They did something similar with the Tholian Fighter which is just a shuttle (fighters can equip dual canons, Tholian fighter can't).

    The Mirror Qin is supposed to have a Commander Tact, Lt. Tact, Lt. Engineering, Ensign Engineering, and a Lt. Sci Bridge officer layout, as was announced, but instead it's an exact copy of the level 40 Qin.

    Alright, so I opened up a lockbox, and lo and behold, I received a Mirror Qin. Pretty sweet, I think, so I go to try it out. It has the mirror colours, and the AKS prefix -- but it still has an ensign tac.

    Huh?

    I thought the Mirror Qin was supposed to be different from the regular one. So I check to make sure, and yep -- it's supposed to have an ensign eng.

    Anyone else have this problem, or did I just get unlucky?

    Yet again the devs demonstrate that they care little for the KDF. No new KDF c-store ships to speak of and now this.

    Same issue here as well. Got one for my Raptor flying KDF toon. This pisses me off that they lack the Quality Assurance to even ATTEMPT to make KDF players happy.

    They said it was a mistake, they will fix it when they get a chance. They have so many ships in the game this is bound to happen from time to time.

    Let's just hope they make the extra effort to grandfather the change into the game. Several KDF players don't have the resources to get another box. I was lucky to have seen this thread before I opened mine.

    Regardless the KDF is hosed once again and the anti-kdf trolls are out in full force.

    Sometimes I do not know why I bother collecting all these ships up because they eventually see about half an hour of game time before they are switched to my favorite ship for a toon and then just collect dust after that... I think it was like late spring or early summer the last time I used my galor or mirro vorcha lol.

    I got mine, and discovered this the hard way. It's annoying, and it sucks, and we all know Cryptic has neglected the KDF in the past, but some of the pitchfork-wielding in this thread is going way overboard. This is especially true when you consider that they've been listening to the KDF players a lot more of late, which is the first step in solving the problems with this faction. Just because Cryptic made a simple mistake doesn't mean they hate the KDF, etc.

    They said it was an error without mentionning what the error was. They might end up saying that the error was in the desciption and leave the specs as is.

    I opened a Mirror Qin and was really annoyed as heck to find it's not a mirror Qin. Even the info on the box itself described that the ENS BOFF was changed from TAC (standard)to ENG (Mirror).

    However, opening up the Qin and using it, what do I find? The ENS slot is still TAC. It's 100% identical to a normal, standard, free, Qin Raptor.


    Can we get this fixed please? And will it be retroactive to those that already have opened and are using the Mirror Qin?

    A question concerning the Qin: Does it have the optional "A.K.S." registry? And does it have special hull markings (like the Imperial Starfleet ships)?

    Last I saw in a thread on the KDF side, they're workin on it, or at least looking into it. And yes, Mirror Raptor does have the A.K.S registry tag available.
    It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

    Yes I got it, it does have both Imperial skins and A.K.S but I prefer it to have I.K.S. and the normal hull markings.

    That would be a major FU to players. I do hope they fix this. I broke my bank to get this ship and already gave up a bridge officer to get the engineer and I go to put him on and I find out I'm suddenly screwed.

    Any word on exactly when they'll fix this?

    Get what fixed it suppose to be like that all the Mirror ships are is a different ship skin.

    And it does say what it is if you right click on it and select info.....

    Well, since they can't fix a simple thing like a boff slot (probably one distinct value in database that designates the slot type) Im seriously considering cancelling my subscription, I have a rule of not paying to incompetent people and if Cryptic turns out to have them too, too bad.

    You can't read, can you? Description states different bridge officer layout than what you get after unpacking the ship. Let me spall it to you in all caps then. WRONG BUGGED BAD BRIDGE OFFICER LAYOUT. Is it any clearer now, perhaps?

    Ok ok settle down, all I said was they are ment to be an exact duplicate just with a different skin.

    The error is in the description then not in the ship, most people know that those ships are an exact duplicate obviously you had to learn it in an unpleasant way.

    I personally hate the things, I open up a lock box and I see "SHIP" I get all excited then realise its just one of those mirror pieces of TRIBBLE.

    PS. I have one of those sitting in my bank I may have put it the fleet bank but no one will take it, if it does turn out they change the ship stats to what you thought they would be (I wouldn't hold my breath on that one) you may have that one for FREE.

    The mirror ships are supposed to have a Different Layout, Not just be Reskinned. Just like the OTHER mirror Ships. It is not just a slap of paint on it. It is supposed to be different console/BOFF setup Comparative to the normal ones.
