Something strange

Its about the Stalker Fighters. When I first obtained the Atrox Carrier, both the Stalker Fighters were Green Quality. Then I bought the Blue Quality Advanced Stalker fighters (bought two for both hangars), I got them from the Dilithium Store. But JUST now, I looked in the Dilithium Store, and I am seeing Very Rare Quality Advanced Stalker Fighters, which have the same abilities as the Rare ones, the Tetryon Pulse cannons, Thoron Generator, Anti-Proton Sweep and the Hull Signature Masked. What is this all about? What happend to the Rare Qualities that I saw on the Dilithium Store in the past?

They updated the store a few months ago so that you got a choice of the EC version in the Shipyard or more Advanced versions in the Dilithium Store.

So your telling me....that the Blue Quality Advanced Stalkers that I have right now....are obtainable through ECs now....?

Edit: I just looked at the EC version, and blue quality as they are, they are not the same Blue Quality ones that I have, which have Four abilities while the EC versions only have 3 abilities.

Apparently so. This is why you should not rush to buy. I, personally, prefer to accumulate the resources necessary to buy. Knowing that I *CAN* buy it usually removes the urge to do so in the first place, since now that I know that I *CAN* have it anytime I want, I see no particularly pressing need to make that happen NOW...and perhaps something better will come along later. Or they'll nerf it and I won't want it at all anymore. That's also usually the case. As a rule of thumb, anything good enough that'd you actually want, is something that's going to get beat with the nerfbat soon. The tallest blade of grass is first to be cut by the lawnmower.

All they did was update the colour and rarity names.

So, the old Green is the new Blue...and the old Blue is the new Purple. From what I've seen, the stats themselves haven't changed.

The key is to look for the 'Advanced' title. That tells you which ones are better.

But here is where things do not make sense, the ones being sold for ECs, a price of which is set to 0 ECs so they are free, these particular ones have 3 things, the Tetryon Pulse Cannons, the Thoron Generator and the Hull Signature Masked, and these are Blue Quality. But the ones that I bought are ALSO Blue Quality but have all three of those things plus the Anti-Proton Sweep. So what the heck is the difference between the Blue Quality ones that i have that have 4 special traits compared to the now Very Rares that have the same four things as part of their kit?

    Here is what im seeing

    1) EC version, Blue Quality, named Stalker Fighter, price 0. Abilities: Tetryon Pulse Cannons, Thoron Generator and Hull Masked Signature.

    2) The ones I have that I bought with Dilithium, cost 30,250 Dilithium, Blue Quality Advanced Stalker Fighters, Abilities: Tetryon Pulse Cannons, Thoron Generator, Hull Masked Signature and Anti-Proton Sweep

    3) The Very Rare Advanced Stalker Fighters, cost 30,250 Dilithium. Abilities: Tetryon Pulse Cannons, Thoron Generator, Hull Masked Signature and Anti-Proton Sweep.

The last two are exactly the same in terms of their kit, but why is one Rare and the other Very Rare and both say Advanced?

Most Advanced Models have the same abilities, except they are at Level 2.

For instance Rapid Fire 1 on the Regular vs Rapid Fire 2 on the Advanced. Or Torpedo 1 vs Torpedo 2.

Anyhow, if you think there is something wrong, you best write a CSR ticket and get that resolved.

Many items already owned did for some reason don't get the same treatment.

Example: I have all the Tribble test weekend tribbles and they are all purple quality, but if I discard one of those and re-claim it then I will get a yellow quality with the exact same stats as my existing purple ones.

I think and i could be wrong, its to do with the Rep system coming with season 7, Gold versions that are = to the old purple quality progression path. The new purple is not improved so as they dont become overpowered. So the new purples are really Blue .
This was changed 2-3 months ago, if you cba you can look back thru all the patch notes to find it.
