No Borg asynchronous warp affect?

Why does the M.A.C.O. engines get the cool blue bubble by going faster than warp 10, but my Borg engine gets a less than impressive green contrail?

What is it about the M.A.C.O. technology that gives it this effect?

The Borg Engine's Sector Space boost comes from it's limited transwarp coil.
This transwarp coil does not give a visual effect unlike the MACO Engines (I would like a green, Borg-like transwarp drive please for the visuals).

I only use the Borg Engines because of the awesome 3 piece bonus, if it was really bad, I would've switched to MACO. Anyway, the MACO Warp Effect comes from it's asynchronous warp field, which is basically an improved warp bubble that increases your warp speed, similar to the transwarp coil.

It's an unstable warp bubble, basically the warp bubble pushed so far to the extreme that it's unstable, but gives you the advantage of faster speeds. They should add a 1% chance to blow up or something with it :p

The advanced fleet engines goes Warp 12 minimum and has the asynchronous warp bubble that the MACO engine has. So it gives a reason for players to join a fleet for at least a little while for those that don't want to go through the effort of getting a MACO engine.

Makes me physically ill. I'm glad the borg engine doesn't have it.

I thought those were the Aegis shields.

That would be the reactive shielding when in system space :)

btw...the asynchronous effect looks awesome on the Stalker fighter :D
