In this week's episode of Priority One, Executive Producer Dan Stahl stops by to talk about Season 7 and beyond. He also recently contributed answers to the show's "Warrior's Way" KDF blog.
Some interesting insights. I just really hope that season 7 will be the last season throwing farming content in the game.
For the Romulan faction... I understand that cryptic isn't willing to recreate all the game mechanics for another factions (doffs, starbases, etc) but Romulans joining the peaceful, kind-hearted and helpful Federation gives me the feeling that those Romulans are insane and not Romulan at all. I can understand Rommies joining the Klingons to defeat the big Federation blob at the center of the map; it's 100% cannon (just remember the fact that the Klingons got their cloacking devices from the Romulans), but I feel very uncomfortable with the idea of Romulans embracing Fed values and ideals.

Yeah that whole deal kind of makes me sick. Plus you know you'll be playing your fake romulan like those of us with alien romulans do now and your romulan is going to think... So ummm who is this guy in this romulan featured episode series and who does he think he is because ummmm you need to go back inside the c-store and wait to get bought.
There is going to be mayhem with all of this its going to be like toy story or something. All these characters in the story line that have escaped from the c-store because their story does not mesh with any of these money grabs.
You know, I really like this game. I play it every single day. But even when it comes to things I like, I enjoy a balanced discussion, and that means giving real attention to whatever problems there may be. Sometimes it just sounds too much like the hosts of P1 are on Cryptic's payroll. It makes it hard to listen to.
Society is not connected to genetic, the Romulans are sentient beings and their values are dictated by their upbringing as NOBODY is born good or evil.
With the Romulan Star Empire gone and it being it pieces its not really surprising some are fed up with the whole and rather join the stability of the Federation.
I wish people stop shoving everything onto walking 2d stereotypes, after all the honorable Klingons have no problems with cloaking technology.
That's interesting how you forget the social factors and consider that everything is related to individuals. I'd answer you that the Romulans are a part of a given culture and that values and morality rarely evolve IRL, even after milleniums millions of deaths, genocides, etc, but I fear it's not the right place for such a discussion.
