"Blockade Escort"

Anyone else notice the RA-LH Patrol Escort has been renamed "Blockade Escort"?

Bug or intentional? The VA version is still Fleet Patrol Escort...

    I like Blockade Escort better than Patrol Escort honestly. Before they were just known as "Fleet Escort". But Blockade keeps its flare without sounding lame.

    Intentional. The RA ship was called the fleet escort.

    Then they introduced fleet ships and every one of them start with the word fleet, so they intentionally renamed the ship to the blockade escort to avoid confusion.

    the fleet one should be the one that is obtainable via the fleet system only now, although looking at it it should be fleet blockade. so that part might still need changing.

    Are you sure you got that right? They renamed it from "Fleet Escort" to "Patrol Escort" first.

    This looks like they've changed it from "Patrol Escort" to "Blockade Escort" - and fairly recently too since the STO Wiki still has it down as "Patrol Escort".

    Geko tweeted about this around season 6, and im pretty sure he went with blockade. so i think blockade is right.

    its possible they changed to to patrol escort by mistake, then changed it to blockade but forgot to change the VA one?

    either that or they are calling them 2 different things, which seems odd.

    The Fleet Escort was definitely renamed to Patrol Escort. Not sure why it is now being renamed again to Blockade Escort?

    Possibly the left and not knowing what the right is doing, the fact that Gecko has a part in this could be the reason, who knows.....

    It was "Patrol Escort" for a few good months when the starbase was introduced.
