Typhoon Class

I wanted to post a thread to find out how many players want to see the Typhoon Class on STO. I for one think its a nice ship. Unlike the new dreadnought, which I am not fond of, I believe the Typhoon should had been the ship introduced. I want to know what you think about introducing the Typhoon as a new ship. :cool:

    The three nacelles Galaxy Class. That is just terrible I think.

    no i mean the typhoon class (thing with 2 nacelles glued to each other) uhh ISS Molly is one

    Such an Ugly Ship.... and these designs are moving away from the elegant designs that Star Trek Starships should be...

    Cryptic should make no more Federation Ships apart from what is on the Ship Poll.... and of course the one exception the Enterprise J or what ever its called.... :rolleyes:

    and besides we need MORE Klingons Ships.... :rolleyes:

    i wouldnt mind having a fed carrier put in, there are two ships that would make good ones. the dreadnought that looks like a flying brick, and the nebula class.as for the Typhoon class, maybe, but i have not really seen it do much.

    The Akira Class is the Carrier....

    Just as the Designer of the Ship Designed her to be.... and so it has been Written....

    Ive been asking for this Ship since STO went live....

    As for any other Federation Ships....

    Excelsior
    Nebula
    Oberth
    Enterprise J........ should be erased from the History Books....
    NX Enterprise
    Ambassador

    Only exceptions are any other ships from the Movies or Shows only !

    We REALLY need more Klingon Ships First before any new Federation Ships..... and then Move onto the Romulan Star Empire !

    i thought the akira was in the game?but, how can such a small ship be considered a carrier?maybe use it as a carrier escort. unless they mean a troop carrier?

    Id have to say no on the grounds of the idea it will likely be a C-Store item, and I have no interest in paying more than $15 a month.

    I wouldn't mind seeing the Typhoon, its a decent design. Though I would like more options for the Warp Nacelles, that's pretty much the only thing I don't like about that design.

    We were told the Excelsior and the Nebula are coming soon and going to be C-Store purchases.

    Yes she would be considered an Escort Carrier...

    She used a Certain type of Small Fighters and Shuttle Craft, and she isnt exactly a small Ship, she is supposed to be a Cruiser Sized Escort Carrier....

    The Deck Directly below the Bridge is the Though Deck Hanger Bay, the Ships Launch from the Front and Land at the back of that Deck...

    She would have been perfect for Starbase defense, Medical Evacuation where Transporters were of no use and Support for Ground Troops...

    So that their isn't any confusion, the Typhoon is the galaxy sized ship that has the dual nacelles on each side. I think that is a very attractive ship. It is in the storyline as the U.S.S. Athens.

    The only typhoon i wanna c in game is the one from ST Invasion. Complete with Valkire Fighters :D

    I've been wanting that ship ever since I saw it on one of the "loading" screens. And, just today, I fought one as a Klingon, so now I know what it's called :p

    Ohhh yes, I want one! They already have the model in game as an NPC.... why not make it flyable? :D

    According to the calendar, the "Search for Spock" Excelsior (aka "Sulu's Ship") is supposed to be out sometime between Aug 21 and Aug 27. From what I've heard, it is a "Commander" level ship.

    I don't agree, especially from certain angles - from the side and below, it looks badly put together. From the top, it looks like a short-necked turkey baster with nacelles.

    Of course, it's not the only NPC ship - there's also the Jupiter Dreadnought, which looks like someone built the top part of a space station and stuck four warp nacelles on it. Xp

    guys look at a size comparison chart, she is still a fairly large ship, probably the larges of the escorts, and is bigger t han the excelsior and the same leangth as nebula, and the ambassoder glass.. just cause cryptic calls it an escort does not mean that it is small. if you read up on it the ship is actually considered a cruiser platform.. meant to fulfull many roles... and the indent in the front of the ship is not another deflector dish, it is the forward door to a fly through shuttle bay.. the rear door is at the back of the saucer.. and she can carry alot more than a sovreign... as she is deisgned too.

    p.s. i was talking about the akira...

    could care less about the typhoon tbh even if it had awesome Tac slots. Other than all the other obvius ships I want in game there is one that every time I see it I want like a fat kid want cake. To see it look at the Holo ship in the shipyard of K-7 I'm sure its not a player ship and can't really place it maybe it was meant for someday and never happened idk.

    If I take a notion I'll try and grab some SS's and post some links Look at the front edge of the saucer kinda NX like and the stardrve doesnt match anything I've seen.

    From what I read they already have a list and timeline of what ships they want to release

    But yeah sure I am always for new ships and nothing will ever be "OP" since I only pve :)
