Cure space prototype engine

Is anyone else out there having trouble getting the prototype Borg engine doing this mission?

I've been trying for 3 months almost non stop without any luck........is there some requirement that I need to get this?

    No there isn't, it's just luck of the draw, it took me months to get the Mk XII Space set for one of my characters, the next had it done within weeks, like with Cure ground elite, one of my characters spent months trying to get it (still haven't got it) but another got it on their first ever run so it does drop and there isn't a requirement to my knowledge, just keep at it

    its only luck i get on some days 2x tech drops on some days only 1x.

    yes there is get with fleet advance team get optional
    you get put in better pool
    trust me on that
    I got one optional infected space elite was able to get 12 shield well before 300 or 100

    if you go not have time accolades good luck
    on top problem is too many running it

    I will start running it next week after I finalize my 4th and final 300

    they are changing the system to reputation to make time accolades mean something

    The engine is the hardest part to get because it's the most difficult STF for pugs.

    It took me more than 1000 runs on one of my toons just to get one proto engine. Then 20 runs later I got another.

    Now my KDF eng has the rest of the mkxii space gear, but no engines yet. Guess she's going to have a hell of a time with cse :(

    I guess I got lucky cause I got 1 on both of my first 2 runs. But I ran it with a fleet group so I didnt have to worry about pug problems.

    Anecdotaly I've found I've gotten better drops using high DPS Tac, than w/my Sci. So, if you can try and max your damage and see if things change for you.

    it have nothing to do with dps or not, or optional or not.

    i have from ever tech ~20+, its only a little bit luck my biggest run was for the ground rifle tech, i have done it ~100x befor i get my first droped.


    but normaly i get every ~20 runs 1x tech droped so if i have now 100+ techs i have done how many runs?:eek:

    I have gotten one prototype deflector from KASE, and no prototype engine. And it took a long time to finally get a proto shield from ISE. And then like a week later I got another one. And the next day I got another one. And later I got another one. It's just luck, no way to affect your chances at this time.

    Agreed...I got horrible drops running normal stfs, then the very first elite I join I get proto shield tech. Appears to be random to me...

    It's just luck.
    I finally got my Proto Engines today after playing ~10 CSEs. In the same day I also got the Proto Gun drop.

    You just need to stick with it, and get fast times in a private chat of non-Pugs.

    Now that PSG. That's the hard one as IGE is the hardest STF to do.
