I can't wait to see the reaction to an article that went up one month and 9 days ago.

Mine? There's so much more to this game, and we get a repeat article? :(

As stated in the original article, and this one, it will be featured monthly :) There will be plenty of new blogs and articles coming out this month that we can't wait to share, too.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

kinda of pointless reposting the same article every month unless something has change from the time the article was originally posted to now...

otherwise it was a waste of a repost

Clearly fleets are starting to see the big picture and not waste Dilithium on silly projects.

    Must have Cryptic/PWE worried....

I wouldn't worry. Most of these 101 articles are not us. These are for the new plays who have no idea what to do. I would like to think most of us are well informed on most systems and usually have learned about them on tribble as they were coming out.

I for one welcome these reminders as it is something to point new comers to when they arrive so it is one less thing for me to explain.

What I would like to see is a blog post aggregator. there are quite a few blog posts in a month and a season takes months. these things get burried fast and harder to find the older they are.

I was thinking even a separate page where you can select previous ask cryptics, season dev or in this case 101s like this one or the ship type blog. Unfortunately new people don't always know how to search for these things and if they are buried too deep they may give up hunting as well.

Meh, my fleet (KDF and Fed) have both completed all dilithium projects. It's not 'hard' to earn. Worst case time consuming. I run my foundry dailies, transfer to zen and then donate the 100 or so that's left over.

    Dilithium tip:

When doing Officer Reports for dilithium, you can pick up the mission at any time, even when you are not planning to do it right away. The countdown timer kicks off when you accept the mission, so if you later get around to doing three foundry missions, you can immediately accept the officer reports mission again and do three more for more dilithium! I suspect this is also true for other dil dailies, so if you don't have time before going to bed, grab the missions on all your toons anyways, then when you have time you can double up.

For new or old players it never hurts to have a guide to look back on.

Sadly the label "F" in the article is incorrect. When you sell Zen it pulls from your current balance and will not let you sell the Zen if its in the exchange balance. You MUST remove it from your balance to put it up for sale on the exchange. It seems to think the exchange balance for Zen is always zero, although it will pull Dilithium from there first the way it describes.

I assume its a bug but its been that way for months.

And yes. I just tested this. Zero Zen in my current balance and 1k+ Zen in my exchange balance and I can not put any Zen up for sale on the exchange.

I'm almost tempted to write something explaining the Pro's of Dilithium where it makes it good to have lots of well setup KDF characters. The only problem is that it would also list the irony of it that if you own that many and own every KDF thing in the c-store or z-store that you can't expect to have anything to do but buy federation items with your KDF earned dilithium.

Even with that explaination, I can't still make heads or tails regarding the Dilithium Exchange.

Also, that auto-refine feature has been broken since January. All we get is "failed to refine" spam message everytime we zone. Where the only way to get rid of it, is to manually refine the Diltihium that's available to be refined.
