[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Time played in game. as of 9/12/12 (on my mains) Total 2907 hours.K'zoontite has been on active duty for 34 days, 3 hours, Bot Fly has been on active duty for 55 days, 4 hours, Poppa Capp has been on active duty for 4 days, 12 hours, B'zooka has been on active duty for 12 days, 22 hours,Tater(fed) has been on active duty for 14 days, 10 hours,
the #1 game related thing that makes me fulfill my name sake is the arguments pve'ers make with regard to game balance. and the fact that the devs might take a pvp'ers opinion more seriously then they would take ours, because theres more of them. low information posters, consider playing a part of the game were balance actually exists before forming your opinions, please.
I'd say once they enter pvp they'll realize how hopelessly out of whack balance is, you make it sound like just the opposite.
Except few things that still need some adjustments (aka siphons), he is saying that after rolling your head on the keyboard and killing npcs, you go into pvp and that approach won't work. So a harder pve, with npcs that start using tt, eps, TSS, he, start healing eachother a bit, the pvp experience will also improve since pveers will get used to such counters and will react more appropriate.

pvp is about 80% perfect as far as balance is concerned. the problems are underpowered eng captains, underpowered non damage dealing sci skills, overpowered bugs, a few overpowered P2W consoles, overpowered befuddling pets, and underpowered bops and raptors. everything else works great, and they deserve credit for that.

Engi Recluse not OP enough? A good one it almost undefeatable, add to that some nice Shield drones and ur invincible! :P

meh, invincibility is boring, and doesn't kill the enemy. with sets and doffs and other items the self heals can be a bit redundant, and the 2 energy skills fail to do much of anything

Well you can always load the ensigns up with CC, like tractor beam. Or energy siphon 3 in the cmdr.
And then put Danubes, Interceptors or Siphon pods in the hangars and be supremely annoying and very likely to contribute significantly to killing people.

disagree on the 80%, i m not sure that there is much progress, the doffs and sets ....too many must have i m better then anything else items, sci consoles etc. its gotten worse in imv, but i guess you are more of the glass half full type. we seem to agree on what is out of whack, though, so i ll just leave it at that.
If the fleet vorcha helped with it, i m happy for ya.

I agree, I'd go as far as saying 98% it's ok. (true, a creature with 98% DNA in common with a human, may well be a chimpanzee...)
The fact that nothing is really completely gamebreaking is proof of a partial success at least. Just imagine how any one ability may be broken into a iwin button! ATM, the only gamebreaking issue is the siphon pods. Other than that, it's just various degrees of imbalance.

This makes perfect sense to me!
why pvp of course, orginized or unorginized. you get no grasp or exposure to balance if you just shoot npcs that are nothing like player ships
