Ship Unlock Question for new characters on an account

If you buy a ship (like the odyssey bundle) that unlocks for the whole account, do characters created after purchasing the ship (or ships) on that same account also have access to those ships or just the the characters that exist at the time of purchase? Thanks!!

    All characters of the same faction can access ships bought from the c-store.

    yep. I have most of the Fed ships, and all my fed chars can use them.

    Thanks! I'll go ahead with ship purchasing before I worry about putting any new characters together. :)
