I've noticed a weird repeating question among the overhead announcements at ESD.
If I stand in the shipyard for a little while and pay close attention to the announcements in the background audio, a question can be heard mixed in with the announcements.
"Is this familiar?"
I've been able to discern 3 specific announcements with just that question.
"Is this familiar?"
My question is: "Is what familiar?" I'm sure the question begs some profound answer, but I just can't understand the relevance of the question.
Anyone else hearing the question in their audio tracks?

if its just the OP then perhaps he is mishearing what is being said. once your brain thinks its heard something said in a certain way you then only ever hear those words. it tends to block out what is really being said. happens all the time with lyric to songs. once you read the real lyrics you wonder how you ever made the mistake in the first place.
The announcement in question isn't a discrete or clandestine message looped into the audio. It's a series of three (or four by some accounts) separate and deliberate announcements.
I've had over a dozen co-workers (and fellow gamers) listen to the background announcements now and the consensus is that the announcer is saying "Is this familiar?".
I realize that this is a small triviality of almost no importance to anyone but myself, but there are at least three separate announcements which ask that question.
One of the announcements is slower that the rest and very well articulated. "Is..this..familiar?" The announcer's voice is clear, and the words are deliberate.
Like I said, this is very trivial stuff. The only reason I'm intrigued by the announcement is that I'm an Information Security consultant. I just hate a mystery or something that seems inconsistent. While I can confirm that the announcement exists, I can't determine the purpose or relevance of the announcement. That intrigues me even more....
I'll keep digging and let you know what I'm able to discover. This may be a job for Franklin Drake's team.
So essentially, the message would sound something like this on my end when I hear it at least:
"Please remember that Tribbles are Environmental Hazards" "Is this Familiar?"
So...message about tribbles, and asking if its familiar kinda makes you think that they're trying to get you to remember about tribbles mass breeding on a station from one tribble that turned into millions of tribbles.
Think its actually kinda cool now that I think about it.
