Set in new sector, the Azure nebula. With Tholians having a major part.
Glad Cryptic is finally moving the Azure Nebula to it's rightful spot.
But makes me wonder if they are going to remove the Azure Nebula in Omega Leonis or simply rename it?
Also, hope the story is good explaining why the Tholians are so far away from their Territory. Though could explain why the Mirror Universe has made an appearance there for all these years.

There is no azure in orionis, are you talking about the Mutara nebula?
I think he meant the Azure Nebula currently in Omega Leonis (Klingon Empire home sector)
That would be my guess too.
I think with Tholians and time travel, we have our reason for the U.S.S. Wells showing up. I think the Wells will feature in a mission for Fed and the reskin of that Fed mission for KDF will have that future Klingon ship instead.
I suppose, with the release of a new storyline centered around a key nebula as a feature, it might not be too much to hope that they might finally spend some effort fixing the flickering nebula background problem that has been floating around for the last 6 months?
There is no correct resolution; it's a test of character.

There will be timeships (the Wells class and Korath class) and a time-related nebula. Guess what season 7 will be about.
I read once an interview where JJ Abrahams said that the best star trek movies were those where time travel was involved, I guess cryptic just copied/past this motto to the game.

well, as anyone who has seen the new 'jj trek', it becomes apparent that jj is clueless as to what makes st great. time travel = not one of st's strengths.
When in doubt, (hehe) c4!

Star Trek does time travel about as well as it does anything else. The problem is that the majority of these stories don't necessarily translate well to an MMO (well, at least this MMO anyways)

And that's only mentioning the TNG-related ones Time travel has been seen at least once in each series, and not just in ST.
Time travel is more-or-less one of those science-fiction staples. Been done hundreds of times, and will continue to be done.
Was named Trek17.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
Time Travel gives me a headache, I don't want to go back to the 60s the only good thing about the TOS era were miniskirts and I sure as well don't want to encounter Jonathan Archer unless I get to shoot at him.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
They have said many times that they want to introduce the Ambassador class ship in a story and since Season 7 is story heavy, that we could see this as a way to get the Ambassador class ship. Just my personal thoughts and observation mind you.

Just a thought. But in most instances a person that is returned to being alive in an altered timeline generally vanishes (back to being dead) when the time line is restored. Perhaps "you" are the reason that the alternate Tasha Yar survives back into the restored time line. And/or another thought is that the Iconians are trying to manipulate time again via the Tholians and spacial rifts. Or perhaps it was the Iconian's manipulations which enabled alternate Tasha Yar to survive which in turn ensures that Sela is born. Definitely good reaons for the Star Fleet Time Bureau to get involved (vis a vi the Relativity Class ship sightings).

Or it could have been a pre-destination paradox.
As in, Sela may well have existed before Yesterday's Enterprise and the alternate timeline was necessary to create her.
So the "original timeline" IS the one where Tasha Yar showed up randomly and gave birth to Sela and the whole alternate timeline was the universe's way of sorting that out.

A Predesination Paradox is what I was trying to descriibe. Although you didn't make me realize that until you mentioned it. Im summary the events that did/will unfold won't happen until our Captain gets involved (along with SF Temporal Investigations and possibly the Iconians).
The idea I like to use is that time lines are like layers of paint.... the first one is there, then something happens to change it, then a new timeline covers the old one over.

Yeah, I meant Omega Leonis not Gamma Orionis. Sometimes I get those mixed up for some stupid reason. :P

1) Teamwork and timing is #1
2) You cannot "Kirk It" in every ship
