SKILL PLANNER
One of the most important aspects of this game are your skills. It is important to put your skill points in the proper skills and not waste any of them. It is also important to not waste your free respec tokens and money every time you want to make changes to your skills. With this free skill planner you can prepare your skills using all the available features and then when you are satisfied you can put those changes in the game. The best part is that you can also find builds by other players to get ideas.

Suggestions, comments, bug reports, etc. are always welcome. I hope you find this tool helpful.

Features:
* Works exactly like in the game, but with additional features.
* Chose your ship from any that can be found in game.
* Set up all your ship's and character's items.
* Choose your space, ground, and bridge officer abilities.
* Choose abilities from the Reputation system.
* See recommendations for skills based on the options you've chosen.
* Click on any skill to read the description, a simpler description, and see what it affects.
* Save/Load your build on the website or to a file.
* Click the "Help" and "Tips" buttons to get more assistance.
* Print your skill tree for your reference.

    The planner now has the Tholian and Mirror ships. I'll also start updating it with the Fleet Ships. Once all of them are in the planner I'll reply to this thread to let everyone know.

    I have tried the skill planner today and it no longer works for me, It just has the loading bar on it but it doesn't stop trying to load. I have tried it on firefox and IE but still the same problem. I am not trying to load any skills or anything, just starting it from scratch.

    I'm also having problems with the Skill Planner. When I try to start distributing the points, it gets stuck on 1,001 points even though I already spent 9,000. Then I can't go to the Lt. Commander tier.

    Tested on Chrome, Firefox and IE.

    Though as of this morning 7/31, I still can not expand past the tier one skills as a KDF player.

    just tried to use it, and it will not allow me to move to the next tier of skills to spend points in, i am stuck on the first tier of skills, even if i fill em all up, the next tiers do not open up.

    Use the Remove skill point requirements checkbox for now while I try to figure out what is going on here.

    EDIT: And of course right after I said that I found the problem. Uploading the fix now.

    Good news! All the Federation Fleet ships are now available in the Skill Planner (at least I hope they are all in there :P). Next week I will be starting on the KDF Fleet ships.

    The new version of the skill planner (Ver 4.8.5) will not let you place any points into a tier when the requirement to unlock the next tier is achieved.

    I.E. it will not let you spend more than 33,000 points in tier 1 skills.

    Is this a new change to the way the skill point system is going to work or a bug?

    -Edit: Tried the remove skill point requirements option with no luck.

    Thank you for your outstanding work. This is an awesome tool in planning out different builds for all the various ships in the game.

    You're welcome. I'll be adding the Ning'tao and the rest of the KDF fleet ships. It is taking me a little while to add all the fleet ships to the planner, but I'm doing it. Hopefully I can finish by the end of next week.

    Well, don't put yourself under too much pressure. I can wait.
    Though I did just try to enter the skillplanner and was denied access??????
    First it said google could not find, then it said forbidden and then it sadi that google could not cache to it???

    I'll try again later

    Tried again, says no permissions to access this server.

    Yeah the planner is down for me too.

    Thanks a lot for updating it. It's the single most useful online tool I have found for STO.

    The whole site seems to be down (except the forums for some reason). I contacted my host to find out what is wrong.

    Just in case you haven't seen, the site is back up.

    Also, all of the KDF Fleet ships are on the skill planner. Enjoy!

    In STOwiki it has a Ensign Engineer and in the SKill Planner it has an Ensign Engineer, yet the original Dev release of stats shows it had an Ensign Science?

    Did they change it?

    I just checked in game and it has an Ensign Sci, so I guess I have to fix it on the skill planner :D

    Just letting everyone know, I will be adding the new ships from the temporal lock box. My plan is to have the temporal ships (including the mirror temporal) added throughout next week. Then I'll add the mirror ships in the following week.

    I have the same problem. What happened?

    I just saw it. I've sent a message to my host and hopefully can get this resolved soon. Sorry about this everyone, but I don't know what happened.

    UPDATE: I'm currently talking with my host trying to get this resolved. I don't know how long it will take but rest assured the skill planner will be coming back, I guarantee it.
