Levitation ability

I have observed that some players, regardless of their career path, have the ability to levitate their opponents in mid-air. Can anyone tell me how this ability is achieved? Thanks

Yeah, Ophidian Cane is a device obtained from Klingon War/Federation War featured episodes. It was available only for limited time on mission release and on episode rerun.

    Kind of a telekinetic hold...

Wouldn't that make a cool ground trait? :D

Unfortunately I can't offhand think of any normal (ie. not advanced) Star Trek races that had that ability. :(

Beings like Q and such don't count.

You know... I was hoping the telekinesis trait did have a hold ability and not just a "throwing purple balls" ability. I ended up deleting the character that I put it on because it didn't do what I wanted.

Granted, she was a species of my own creation with some genetic modification in her background, so she wasn't exactly a standard character. But the telekinesis power really should have more to it.

Devidians aren't an advanced race in Star Trek.

I only recall Eris throwing a telekinetic blast. I don't recall seeing where a Vorta actually held someone telekinetically.

But I haven't been through all of DS9 on Netflix, either, so there could be a gap in my knowledge.

After the initial appearance of Vorta on DS9, I don't recall an instance of Vorta using Telekinesis at all. It's as if the writers forgot all about it.
