Why does Cryptic continue to give into the Fed players. I get it there are more of them but every time they want something(More ships or KDF being nerfed) they seem to get it. But we don't get any new KDF exclusive content. We need more missions for the KDF. I have asked around and alot of player tell me they don't play KDF because of lack of exclusive content. So why Cryptic do you choose to just kick our requests to the curb and pour all your resources into the Feds. Just read this from our point of view on what we have to deal with: http://www.stowiki.org/User:Peregrine_Falcon
Not a new player I just don't usually post. But still Cryptic would see a bigger and better playerbase is there were 2 full developed factions. Right now STO has 1 full developed faction and one that has been treated like TRIBBLE. Just look at all the new ships Feds get when they whine enough and when we ask the devs ignore us like a plague.
There are less people working on STO then in most other MMO's art departments. Considering their short handedness I think they aren't doing too bad. You want miracles from a handful of people, go try to make your own game with about the same number of people who work at a gas station.
40 people work at the gas stations where you live?
Thats the number I hear stated when I talk with other players whom socialize with the Devs for STO.
40 STO devs with a hint that more may be hired in the future as the game grows.
SO why do you, and many KDF fans for that matter, play to the negativity cast upon us to keep us from ever hoping, nay demanding more for the KDF out of Cryptic?
What good does it do to mope around firmly set in the belief that we will never see better?
The feds whom naysay us must love to see such replies with the KDF trifoil as the avatar becuase they then know that the poster has given up the fight to see more KDF content in STO.
Honestly, warriors. If you wish to see more for our faction you must keep the pressure on the make it so.
The OP should appluaded for his posting, not given excuses on why he should not.
I'm not asking for miricles, I'm asking Cryptic to stop giving everything to the Feds and leaving us with nothing. We have 8 exclusive mission and the Feds have several times more.
I'm asking Cryptic to stop giving everything to the Feds and leaving us with nothing. We have 8 exclusive mission and the Feds have several times more.
All of these unique missions are nearly as old as the game itself because early on Cryptic believed they could make unique missions for both factions. They have since realized they can't keep up that pace and keep everyone happy. They've since decided that they are going to make missions with joint content in mind which I would be ok with if the writing was better.

Well the Feds have enough time to give the KDF some more. It will even out player population more and help gameplay. Also more to do will make players keep playing STO and buying stuff which is more money for Cryptic.

This same thread has been done again and again and again since Launch and even before. Ask and demand from Cryptic all you want, King Canute.
The feds whom naysay us must love to see such replies with the KDF trifoil as the avatar becuase they then know that the poster has given up the fight to see more KDF content in STO.
Define content? We have seen more and more KDF ships being added. Christ there's nearly twice as many or maybe more since the last time I played seriously. Additional Orion ships, Gorn ships, Naussican ships, that 3-in-1 Botrasqu or whatever cruiser. Fleet ships, a dozen or so. There's an absolute explosion of ships. Feds are getting the same treatment. Now you could argue that one ship on one side is better then another ship on the other side. But that's ship balance, not content differences.
Missions, what about missions. We're getting the same missions. The days of unique mission lines for both sides is old and dead. We're now getting the same. Isn't that what people wanted? Equal treatment?
Equal Treatment yes... Rehashing of missions built for Feds no. We need more stuff to call ours again just compare the number of Fed exclusive missions to the 8 KDF exclusive missions. Also Cryptic told us the Feds would never get a carrier and now look they have 2. The KDF is losing its uniqueness and the Feds are getting everything.
This same thread has been done again and again and again since Launch and even before. Ask and demand from Cryptic all you want, King Canute.
And the same thread and any like it needs to be done again and again until the need to ask no longer exists or the last last post before the game folds up shop is once again, " What about the KDF?"
Give up if you wish. Join the naysayers if you wish. Do not deter those who wish only to see the faction grow or disrupt thier passion to do so.
You only help keep the faction down when you do so.
Define content?
The missing and needed low level missions to flesh out the KDF faction for those whomare just starting and those whom enjoy a good story and wish to see one attached to the faction that makes sense. Many would like to make a KDF toon without ever seeing the fedside of things for the first half the game.
Ships. Why not more ships? If the Devs are willing to create them many would be willing to get them. Though your are right the KDf has no lacking in vessels.
How about more costume choices for the Orions, gorn and other races? how about more Klingon choices on costumes, like hair and less restrictive uniforms?
How about new kist for ground that acent our racial choices better. Klingons are known to enjoy melee combat but have nothing that brings it to the game.
How about the Gorn saurian or the Klingon targ handlers, they would make excellent kits.
The list can literally go on and on over things, content, that many fans wish to see.
But content is not why I posted my response.
Being a KDF fan and dragging down those whom post such as the OP for doing exactly ehat we need to continue to do, posting our wants and desires for the KDF, is counter productive to the faction as a whole.
If the "asking" more is such a set-in-stone thing in your mind, that teh KDf is at the extent of its growth, that asking for a closer level of content to increase our faction is pointless, then why do you take the time to tell those whom are new to stop.
Why quell thier hope? Why not just read teh thread and move on?
if its true what you say and we KDF plenty and should not ask for more, then why expend the effort to silence those whom still carry that hope?
And yet last month you were agreeing with the OP of a petition. Also I'm not saying new ships but the KDF needs to keep what made them unique(Cloak, carriers, cannons for every ship).

Some of those unique aspects have gone now, although its open to debate what may have happened if the KDF were setup as a full faction in the beginning.
As for the OP I am glad people keep posting and beating the 'dead Targ' as Stahl put it, customers have an absolute right to keep asking for things they feel are missing, even if its been posted before.
Every faction should be full, although I do wonder if it would be worth having the option to start higher in other factions if you've already reached level 50 in another one, but that's a whole different debate.
I'm actually pretty sure we'll get those level 1 to 20 missions at some point, its more of an issue of when, not if, remember the previous Cryptic before PWE simply didn't have the resources nor manpower to make the changes and it seems they've done well with what they had, but even with more employees content doesn't simply sprout into existence overnight.
I like Season 6, the KDF starbases are in a word awesome!
My mistake. I have come to the conclusion that we KDF have come to believe the " we dont matter" "the devs hate us""we do not deserve completion" and a whole slew of other negative things about us as the status quo.
If true, the we as a fanbase need to set our sights higher and strive for more.
The reason the requests keep getting kicked to the curb is that Cryptic prefers to take the easy way out like they did two years ago. We all know the easy way is more seductive and leads to pain and suffering. In STO that pain and suffering was realized in losing money and the resulting transition to F2P (cue for Dan "The Content Stahller" Stahl to appear and vehemently claim the opposite while offering no number that didn't come from his TRIBBLE). We are still feeling that pain and suffering today. But as we've been doing more with less since launch and pain is weakness leaving the body, the Klingon Empire is as strong as ever without an influx of the inferior captains of the Federation.

This is why we should stop using the Forums and start looking for more creative ways to hassle the Devs in to submission.
Hassle them on Twitter.

OK, I agree that the Klingon faction needs to be given the treatment that as far as I am concerned was promised from day one.
However.
I'm tired of this us against them mentality I keep reading.
Feds get everything they want.....No, they do not.
Feds shouldn't get a Carrier because it belongs to the Klingons, it makes us unique.
No it does not, things like the Bird of Prey do that. ETC ETC ETC.
It makes it sound like, give us everything the feds have, but give them nothing we get. For someone like me, who plays both, who wants to see things done fairly. That is a turn off.
Asking to be given equal treatment is one thing. I'm all for it so I can play my Klingon more. This however is not equal treatment being asked for, not to me. It's spinning out of control to the point I expect to never see anything new.

You'll get used to being second class here, don't worry.
Either that or you'll do like so many other Klingon fans and go play a different non-ST game since you can't get what you want here.
