Convert fleet credits into dilithium

intrepidukintrepiduk Member Posts: 0 Arc User
I recently left a fleet for two reasons, the politics and the stupid starbase scam, I mean project.

I dislike the starbase project, it is a total and complete waste of time and resources. There is no function that the fleet starbase has that isn't allready available at the other starbases. The fleet starships are a total rip-off for what they are.

I have an accumulation of fleet credits, that I have no intention of using. Ever.

So therefore those who have decided not to bother anymore with this useless system can we please have a way of converting this useless currency into dilithium (refined would be nice since I grinded the fleet marks that were converted into the credits, refined the dilithium I stupidly shoved into the starbase, doffed my way to getting the doffs required for the projects).

At first I was excited about the starbases but over the time I realised that is is just a complete waste of time. It only serves to give fleet members "something to do" until any real content comes along. I have learned that there is no real point to fleets in this game before season 6 and there still isn't now.

Sorry but converting Fleet Credits into Dilithium Refined or as Ore would lead to a game exploit for people like me that have over 1 mil invested in bases. This idea is ridiculous as most and I apologize for the fact you do not like the new content. But this idea is as bad as it comes and would lead to ridiculous exploits in game. The factor somebody could quit a fleet for example and grind his Credits into dil, wait to say if there was a cool down in effect and rejoin the fleet to donate the Dilithium back into. Unless they added the idea of Leaving the fleets for say a YEAR cool down and then being able to grind the fleet credits down into a NON transferable Dilithium so once again it does not lead to an Exploit. I disagree.

But for whatever fleet you were apart of, on behalf of them I thank you for helping there fleet out in getting ahead :)

It could work... But the exchange would have to be pretty bad to avoid exploits. Something like 100 Di for every 10,000 FC's or something.

Anything more then that, and you're talking about effectively being able to double dip, because you donated stuff to the fleet, to get credits. Then you can take the Di and donate that to a fleet as well.

I'd like to trade my fleetmarks for energy credits instead. I don't want/need dilithium. This currency is pointless to me, but credits are valuable. :D

I think this all really comes down to my most recent question about all of the currency types in game... I mean they got rid of marks of exploration and all of those other things saying there were too many currencies in game and how difficult that was for the players to keep track of... then they created Dilithium as a currency to replace them all... but added Latinum, Lobi crystals, the Borg drops from the STF's, the duty officer points toward diplomacy and other things like that, and now fleet marks. I think we are back to square one.

To be fair, they are thinking about providing the two types of rewards together in the same missions.. but still!

you can now if you are in a fleet buy doffs from your starbase for fleet credits and then dismiss them for dilithium!

Latinum was in the game prior to Dilithium. I remember all the marks of exploration and such and it was a huge pain, the Dilithium system is much better.

The Borg salvage from STF's and Lobi crystals are a slightly different thing, then what we had before. Those two only really come into play if you do the content they're part of, STF's and lock boxes. They're not quite the same as the old marks because everyone got those.

But your over all point is a good one, they're quickly getting back to the large number of currencies that can be hard to keep track of.

The fleet credits however are kinda required. If you want to have some way that you can track how much stuff you donate to the SB projects and then use that to allow you to buy equipment for sale on your SB, you almost have to have a separate currency. If you just got Dilithium instead of FC's, then someone with a ton of Di could buy a lot of stuff from the SB without ever donating a single thing to the projects.

I think you are right, perhaps I didn't think the idea through enough before posting, the suggestion further down thread for conversion to EC might be okay instead.
