The freighters at the end of the fleet blockade mission never seem to get counted as succeeding. If they haven't been destroyed, I believe they should be counted as succeeding. It is like in sports-- if the ball is still in play after the buzzer and a goal/basket/whatever is made.. it counts!

Complete agreement. Ideally, the freighters should stop spawning when the timer hits 0 and then the mission's over when all the freighters are gone (either dead or rescued).
Yes I also think that when the timer is up, no new freighters should spawn but you can still rescue freighters that are already spawned. If its fair in sports it shoud be fair to do it in STO this way, the ball is still in play until the frighter gets destroyed.
i think the end timer should only matter for "NEW" waves of transports comming in and the actual mission shouldnt end until the last transport is destroyed or warps out.

Yeah I like this idea, timer hits 0 game keeps going but the Freighters stop spawning, so you can get those last ones across the line.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
I agree with the timer just being related to them warping in, rather than getting them safe.
However, the way I see it is the freighters are carrying time sensitive... stuff... that has to arrive inside those 15 minutes (maybe the freighter captains have been playing for exactly 45 minutes, they're carrying Quadrotriticale, and have a load of tribbles aboard just waiting to start chewing ).
Lets put it this way, gents. The freighters are counted against you at the end. Lets say you have lost 0 of 18 ships, but the buzzer sounds. While the two freighters you are currently protecting have not been destroyed, your final score is based upon saving 18 of 20 ships.
You are being cheated...
Also, Cryptic, why can't I see friendly freighters no matter where they are on the map? The Enterprise-D could see the U.S.S. Phoenix (Benjamin Maxwell's ship) firing on cardassian ships from light years away in awesome detail... why can't I?
It already WAS that way. They stopped coming in but you kept saving the ones you had, and they got counted. For some idiotic reason they changed it so they warp out as soon as the counter hits zero.

it's like Thrill seekers! "oh, the danger is over? meh... no fun delivering that way, let's warp out, guys."
If that can be programmed, please programme it.
