Does anyone even know what this patch is for??
Try reading the first post in this thread. There's a link to the patch notes.

"Scheduled" means that its, you know, planned ahead of time. Not, "yay we screwed up something else, we gotta fix it real quick."

I agree with the many! No in game warning at all what so ever, and here I am thinking the Server just plain crashed after Thursday's 2 hour maintenance. . Nice to know in game that this would be coming . . That is until I visited the forums. . . Serious lack of organization and communication on Cryptic's part. .

Same here. Was on my Klingon loading up DOFF missions and then when I switched to my Fed to go through her DOFF mission log, I got DCed.

Didn't see any warning in the 20 odd minutes I was flying around in my BoP.

And this is why online companies don't give a living bleep about the customer. Because no matter how you feel no matter how you "vote with your wallet" people will always be silly enough to pay them... on a new experience. The world? billions. You? Nothing. The company? Laughing at you.

This is why even though I've put money into PWE/Cryptic I realize I'm helpless to even be upset at them because they don't care. They never will.

You know, a HEADS UP of some sort would have been nice. Seriously, no bulletin on the launcher, no in game warnings...someone dropped the ball here.

I havent seen any update in game messages lately PW should all ways warn 30mins be for servers go down all ways all ways. This Really upsets people.Oh sure you will tell the people on the forums but not in game.

There should be a Message on the Game Launcher and a In game chat and Fly Bye All the time.

It really ticks people off when there in the middle of a STF of some Battle and all of the sudden boom No more server with out warning not every body reads the Updates.

Please a little more warning next time.

Seriously, I only checked the forums after what I was doing was rudely interrupted only to find out that there was barely 2 hours notice in an obscure forum post. As has been said by EVERYone else here, lack of notice in-game = fail. Way to TRIBBLE off potential paying customers.

I don't know what's more annoying. The patch today took my over an hour to download. Afterwards I was rubber-banding almost every zone change. I got disconnected 3 times in 2 hours. Once as I was about to start an STF. To top it off they announce server maintenance- but not in-game- where it matters.

I really want to enjoy this game, but Cryptic makes it awfully hard sometimes.

There are days one hates living on the other side of the world...it may be midnight for some, it's only 5pm here....end of day de-stress...not available and no warning before being booted...

Seriously, do you want people going postal?

    Ahoy Captains!

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tonight, Friday, August 10th, at midnight PDT (click here to view in your timezone) for maintenance and to apply a new patch. Patch notes can be found here, and we expect this maintenance to last for only 2 hours.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

    - The Star Trek Online Team
Yeah sweet...no warning in game and just performed a 580mb patch earlier. Less than 24 hours and we need another maintenance patch? Well thank goodness I was not half way through a mission or anything. Maybe you could slip us all a few bonus fleet marks for this one huh?

First 40 some odd posts: Umm some of you cry over broken things in game, but now that there's been what looks to be like something so important that game gets shut off on short notice, and you still complain? Might be the only dude in here on a positive note but, as long as they fix something substantial enough to warrant an unwarranted shut down, then just shut up and let them.

That being said, I do agree, wtf a simple in-game notice first, I was in the middle of Ferengi Mode!!!

Sighs...I was doing Elite Cure when the servers went down. It looks like the patch isn't changing much, but I hope it doesn't last for 2 hours.

I'm not complaining, everyone did it for me.

I'm still only seeing 50 minutes worth of warning, 10:10 forum time the warning.. 11pm forum time the game went down.

I'm glad your fixing all the stuff you broke earlier on, but a little warning would be nice...

They could at least warn in game. I was in a good cure game and got kicked without warning. I understand they need the need to patch, but if I treated my users like that they would have my head on a platter in no time (I'm a network admin).

The only visual cue, that was something was wroing, was I saw a ship that was moving, suddenly froze, then came the kickout, 6 seconds later.

thanks you idiots. Maybe you can fix some of the bs like millions disappearing from accounts, purple Thorlain lock boxes actually giving loot ( several boxes of mine and other have NOT had anything), all sorts of stuff disappearing fro mail, or I dont know, maybe a fracking in game message. Get your GM's off there TRIBBLE and answer Tickets for once. Myself and several others have tickets weeks old w/o and answers. wtf man
