As the topic says. Are the slavers stealing as they should, and if so what's the chance they do so?

Well, last time I checked mine were working quite good, stealing a total of 11 Contrabands in just 7 mins (yeah, lucky me ^^) and a few commodities, too.
Howeher, this whole "Slavers stealing stuff" thing is totally random. Sometimes they steal stuff like crazy, then again they're just lazy. I even noticed them being too lazy to steal anything at all every now and then.

    So yes, they are working.

Working... since I've got them, they have easily paid for a few ships in contraband alone. Just before the most recent patch, I was able to get half a dozen contraband from a single STF.

If you're not having much luck... perhaps Cryptic uses the same loot table % as it does for the prototype borg tech drop rates.

Though the typical Cryptic "periodic laziness" of their RNG is going to be a bother I am very much tempted to get a Vo'quv and spam slavers if they really are able to get 11 Contra out of a single STF.

I can see a fleet abusing this by deliberately running ISE poorly to get an endless swarm of nanite spheres to be met with a whole armada of Orion Slavers out of 5 carriers :)

You are thinking small time. Slavers will steal from any NPC ships... even other slavers.

Start a fleet PvP with 10 carriers on each side, each with two adv. slavers... :D
My Romulan Liberated Borg character made it to Level 30 and beat the (old) Defense of New Romulus with the skill point bug. :D

You know I don't mind tagging along with a -huge- KDF fleet just for such silliness. Not only does it satisfy Ferengi interests, it would make for an epic Battle of Midway re-enactment to post on youtube.

I can confirm that my Flying Pig of an Orion Flight Deck Cruiser has success with the advanced slavers, albeit limited. They will get some contraband and ECs, and the occasional commodity, but that's about it.

I think it's worth mentioning only the advanced slavers steal contraband. Only got the odd normal commodity out of the old green ones I had at first while I was saving dilithium for the blue versions.

Would like to comment by the way the stealing of things only works against NPC targets I do believe.

    Thanks all for the confirmations.

It seems, dang, there is quite a large initial investment cost before I can farm contra off NPCs.
