Here's my Armitage build I seem to do real well with it. I usually the top Dps person in every battle using the ACT Combat Parser. Feel free to point out any galring holes, but I think I did a pretty good job but there's always room for improvment.

Some suggestions: Get rid of the bio function monitor and add another shield generator. Get rid of the MACO MkII engines and get the Borg engines. Get rid of the phaser and photon torpedo point defense systems and use 2x more AP dmg consoles. Tac consoles on escorts are sacrosanct. They are for dmg consoles. Never put universal console junk in them. Ever ever ever.

What is your Boff skill setup and what is your Doff setup?

I would also use a quantum instead of the photon, but that's mostly preference.

I actually like the photons over quntums they do more DPS because they fire faster and more torps over the qauntums or it seems that way in the combat parser. I won't drop the point defense systems I may move them but won't drop them. They do a ton of burst damage when used as a combo every 3 mins. I may drop the bio function monitor amd one of the Neutronium Alloys and move the consoles there instead. Then drop in another mag relay and a Photon damage increase module. BUt thanks for the imput always great to hear other opinions.

You can see my Boff skills by clicking the link I posted in the orignal message as for doff setup they are like this

2 purple 20% reduce recharge time on torps
1 purple regen shields after using brace for impact
1 purple 20% reduce recharge on evassive maneuvers
1 purple improve ship power on use of any emergency to power ability

    Boff abilities

    cmdr Tact
    TT1 CSV1 TS3 APO3

    Lt Tac
    HYT1 CRF1

    En Tact
    TT1

    LTcmdr Eng
    EPTS1 EPTS2 APSIF2

    Lt Sci
    TST1 HZE2

    power settings

    wps 123/90
    Shields 67/50
    engines 51/25
    Aux 46/35

If you're only doing PVE, you could drop some points for other DPS-increasing stuff:
Driver Coil is wasted potential, because it is only good for sectorspace, and with transwarps traveltime is unimportant
Starship Impulse Thrusters is a bit more complicated. Though one could argue higher turnrate and impulse means being faster at your target, it only reduces downtime by a marginal time compared to uptime. With several abilities which increase your turnrate by a ton available those points seem even more wasted.

Although Omega is a really nice pattern to boost your damage, Beta is usually the better choice because it increases the damage of the entire Group.

For survival 3 Borgpieces + Maco Shield is your best choice, compared to your setup you actually gain, while loosing nothing.

Put your point d and photon d in your sci slots that way you can 4x dps consoles and I agree they are great in combo doing alpha with a beta, fire at will with cannon volly then follow up with both point d's does some insane aoe damage. Though everything with in 6k will be trying to kill you after, thats if anything is still alive :-)

Myself i ended up going 3x DHC phasers and a quad cannon with 3x phaser turrets. With a cannon mk 12 tac console and 3x phaser consoles. I respeced out of any thing to do with torp damage and maxed my engery damage in my skills.

I have found that I out dps my old build by a lot when i swtched the torp for the quads. It also streamed lined my doffs alowing me to do 3x cannon recharge reduction a +25% accurate while in intercept flgiht officer and a reduction in hanger time fight officer.

You should be able to have omega and beta patterns on your build. I do, I use my omega as a tractor break as well as a dps boost after i use my beta.

Thouth I use pergrine fighters for max dps unless i'm doing something that needs more then dps, such as shield drones for blockade, runabouts in pvp etc.

running high weapon power and engine power makes the quads real winners. If you able to get them.

2P Maco decreases cooldowns by 5% so it's not loosing nothing. But the 3P Graviton Beam is garbage, and I think 3P Omega would be better for an Escort.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.

I just got an Armitage today for 15% off on Z-Store

Happy so far. Its saving my wrists from maneuvering so much. I've been in a patrol escort VA ship for too long. I went to sleep last night thinking I'm finally going to spring for the Armitage. Today I woke up and 15% off sale!!

So anyways was thinking of making a torpedo boat spec. Maybe get crazy and fill every spot with Quantums. Just for the fun of seeing that many torpedoes go out. Will welcome any comments. Also if anyone has a better build as of today please post. I know there are some Tacs out there with carrier love! Oh yeah what fighters are best. Stock perigrens are dying easy. I do the Ker'rat daily but otherwise mostly PVE.
