A quick question for anyone, does your console weapons boosting bonuses (ie. phaser or photon, disruptoretc...) affect the damage your deployable platforms do? So is it worth matching the same wepon type of platforms that you use on your ship?
I don't believe they are affected by any consoles you have. In many ways they are considered a 'pet' like any carrier would launch, albeit a stationary one.
Pets of any kind, however they are launched from a ship, don't get helped by any consoles you have.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
Lol, I gave up using all satelites and platforms. Whenever I deploy them they just sit there until they expire without ever firing a single shot. Meanwhile enemy ships fly within 1 km of them and they just sit there.
D&D DM/Player since 1982 - all versions except the despised 4e
Thanks mimey2, the reason I thought it might was that I saw that on the Wiki page Power Siphon Drones it says that they are "Modified by: Skills ■Starship Flow Capacitors", I thought it might be the same for deployable turrets.
Thinking about it a bit more, I could probably test both of these things by getting together with a friend in PvP and trying them, though I expect you are right about the platforms.
Hopefully the flow capacitors do work, I have four of them on my Klingon carrier!

Well, I do know that the platforms aren't effected by it, because they are a device.

But the only way to know is test, test, test!
