Jaime's Character Creation Guides: Race Specific!

Hello, I'm Jaime. I'm back! Unfortunately, my Perfect World forum name was not the same as my Star Trek Online name, so I do not appear as Jaime to you. :(

Before and after Star Trek Online came out, when I was a fairly active player, I wrote a few character creation guides for races that weren't (and still aren't) innately available. By selecting the "Alien" race at character creation you can still come up with a variety of less usual Federation and Klingon faction races.

As the old forums and my old posts have been archived I thought I would bring them back here in one convenient thread so they are easier to find.

    For romulan characters I prefer using the "Antarian" forehead. I also use skin tone from the last row (and a little bit to the right from the center), cause romulans in sto have usually grey(ish) skin, not pink or olive.

    I noticed. Your site wasn't around when I made these, though. It's nice to know the idea caught fire, regardless.

    I tried to give them the green tint they seemed to have in STO back at launch. Not sure if they changed up their appearance in the year I've been gone.

    It was so long ago I don't really remember. Also back then my site was called STO Fan instead of STO Academy.

    Most information was found on the forums in beta and early launch. :) Theorycrafting sites and the like were to be expected and I'm glad. I do particularly like your build sharing tool.

    I figured out Vorta on my own. your guide is good though.

    My Vorta char is actually a refugee from the Mirror universe.

    I made a char who is technically a Vulcan who is meant to be Vulcan/Romulan. I simulated the forehead with a tattoo.

    And Kzinti, make a Caitian who's got a huge barrel chest and an essentially hairless tail.

    I didn't think of justifying a Federation Vorta by making him/her mirror universe. That's pretty cool.
