Distribute Shield Bug caught on Camera

This can go one of 2 ways - either my shields distribute permanently, or i cant and i am locked out.

Notice the white border around the distribute icons.

This occurs when i have just finished a pvp match and warped into a zone.

Have to exit game to get rid of it.

Any ideas?

    Must be related to what ever it is that causes some powers to be, as the Distribute shields was. I've seen my Evasive manuevers have that happen. Though I wasn't sure on the cause to be honest. Maybe it's all related to weapons not fireing as well... hmm.

    I get this all the time with my torps at least once every few games and cant get them back till I die, also but not as much with my beam array or a DHC and on rare occasions Ill lose
    two at one time like torps and beam.

    To fix this bug had to remove distribute shields and reapply um to bar again

    I too have had my evasive button gain the white border of non workyness. This was pre season six though. When we were bombing each other with PSW3 to check it out, Mav had his distribute button do this. So we will see. Seems there is a frisky bug loose.


    You would think Kittypaws the Web of Death would be catching all these buggies for dinner.....

    Or to leg eggs in to create more of his insipid breed!!!!

    I've experienced a similar bug where I was unable to use Extend Shields 3. All of my other abilities were working fine, but this one was just greyed out with that white activation boarder around it... :confused:

    I didn't have to log out, though, it suddenly fixed itself later on in the PvP match I was in. :/

    (Btw, repost this in the bugs section so they'll actually read it lol.)

    Lol i had this bug like 20 times already when flying around in SOL system after a PvP match.

    Never the less good thing you caught it loll.

    For me that didnt help at all.

    Okay, I've got to ask.

    Can allllllll these issues be caused/exaggerated by the "new back end code developed by a pvp hit team from another cryptic game" (Stahl's words) that was supposed to be implemented with season 6 that seemed like it didn't? This code that was "supposed to improve pvp so that we could have things like leaderboards" (Gozer's words) and such?

    It makes me just want to hope Cryptic never, ever develops another game with pvp in it.

    I get this with torps with alarming regularity, and occasionally cannons.

    I haven't seen anything like this but that might be because i dont do a lot of space pvp and when i do i have my space bound with "+power_exec Distribute_Shields" and some other powers so i dunno

    I've noticed it happen with weapons most often. It seems to be an issue of turning outside of your firing arc just as you hit the fire button. Sometimes it doesn't shoot the target and eats any high yield/overload buffs, sometimes it just locks them completely. It seems to happen much more often in higher turn rate ships like my Bird of Prey, so I'm thinking that's it.

    As for powers like Emergency Power to Shields and Distribute Shields where there is no firing arc... dunno.
