I have all the items for this set equipped on my D'Kora, and I cannot get the energy dissapator to show up on my powers list. I of course opened it while in space. I also unequipped and re-equipped the set with no result.
Remember, when you use an item set, all items of the set must be of the same mark. Thus, if you have the Mk VI supercooled impulse engine, you must also use the Mk VI deflector and the Mk VI shields. If all three items are not of the same mark, you will not gain access to the 3-piece set bonus.
Only the Aegis set does that. All the rest you need to have the same Mark.
Thats odd, but if you were unlucky enough to get the last item after you were automatically ranked up you're skrewed, ya gotta dump the entire set and start over.

The problem with this philosophy concerning the Breen set, is that when a new toon encounters this mission series, they will likely outlevel the first piece they acquire.
I know for 2 toons, when I ran this series, the first piece I got was Mk IV; but when I got around to getting the second and third pieces (doing the series straight through), they were Mk VI.
I believe SWTOR addressed this by making different tiers of the same set work together regardless of tier... it just was less effective of a set bonus than if all items were the same tier.
I wish more games would embrace that idea.
In STO, for example, let's say you have the MACO Mk X gear, and thus have the fast-remod ability. It actually HURTS your performance if you try to buy and equip the Mk XI gear a piece at a time because you "break" the set and no longer get that fast-remod. So you hoard your chips and hope for drops so you can get multiple pieces at once. O_o

And there it is! Somehow I got the engines at Mk X, but the others are XI. Thanks!

Why do I start over? Can't I just replay the mission with the engines as a reward now that I get it at Mk XI level?

Sry, didn't realize how late in the game you get them. All mine are mkXI, you can replay only the engine mission. I was max level before I finished the first episode.

Unless it's not compatible with the D'Kora. Or it's another bug.
