the borg EDC (encrypted Data chips) get exchanged at the omega/maco vendor on DS9, just outside the shipyard

go to the, I *think* it's called EDC vendor - you're looking for "elite requisitions"
it costs 40 EDC's for mark 11 requisitions - less for the mk 10's...
you want to trade EDC's for an elite armor requisition, elite weapon requisition, and elite shield (possibly PSG Personal Shield Generator) requisition

you can also purchase engine, shield and deflector requisitions - those are for your ship
make doubly sure you pick the right ones - it can be confusing

the mark 10 and 11 armor sets will *NOT* include the helmet, from what I've heard - I cannot be certain that it will include any of the other visuals that you're looking for as well, but from what I've gathered, it *sounds* like it will

the Mark 12 is, last I heard, the ONLY way to get the helmet visual - and the Mark 12 gear cannot be purchased with EDC's

the mark 12 set (and I'm guessing you'd have to have ALL mk12 pieces to get the proper visual, although I could be wrong about that) can ONLY be purchased with specific drops called, I hope I'm remembering this correctly, PROTOTYPE BORG *shield or weapon or PSG*

again, go to the EDC vendor, and there will be an option for elite requisitions - choose that, choose MK12 - and then, if you HAVE any of the proper PROTOTYPE BORG XXXX, it will give you the option to pick up an elite *shield/weapon/PSG* requisition

when you have the *requisition* that you buy from the EDC vendor, you have to take it over to the two guys standing near the entrance to the room - one will say ground stf equipment - pick that one

then, again, pick elite requisitions - choose the Omega gear, and trade the requisition for the actual item

I'm *guessing* that you most specifically want the *armor* requisition - I'm guessing that the shield does not have a visual, but again, I can't be *absolutely* sure about that

again, I *think* I got that all right - I highly recommend you double check everything before you pick it, and if anyone claims I'm wrong, they're *probably* right

    hope that helps
There is no correct resolution; it's a test of character.

Each ground STF gives a chance for a drop that can be traded for STF armor. You have to run all 3 ground STFs numerous times for each drop. You can't do one STF for all Omega Force Armor. Once you get all 3 pieces at a specific Mk then you can use it as a uniform through the tailor. I am not sure if getting all 3 of Mk X armor will unlock the uniform in the tailor. Mk XII gives the helmet version I think. Don't do STFs that much for all the ins and outs of STF armor uniforms.

There are three Omega sets: X, XI, and XII. To unlock the costume pieces at each level you must acquire the Omega armor, gun, and personal shield generator. Once you do, the pieces available at that level will unlock in the costume editor. You can wear the costume regardless of what armor, weapon, and PSG you have equipped.

The X and XI pieces can be bought using tech drops or with EDC. Each piece of the XI set cost one tech drop or 40 EDC.

The XII pieces, which include the helmet, are not available for EDC. They are available only for elite tech drops, which only drop in elite STF ground missions. The rare tech drops in elite and normal, and the standard tech drops only in normal.

Each ground mission has a different tech drop. For instance, the Cure ground mission drops weapon tech.

To complete the full costume, you must get one of each elite tech drops from each mission and spend it on elite Omega costume gear. Once you acquire each elite (XII) Omega piece, the costume unlocks in the tailor and you can use it in one of your non-primary costume slots.

Keep in mind that if you want all the pieces, you must complete the elite (XII) set. The best set you can complete with just EDC is the veteran set (XI) and it costs 120 chips and is missing the helmet and a couple of other things.

    X - has no visuals

XI - has visuals, but it's a subset of XII, no helmet and shoulder pads for example

XII - has the full visuals, with helmet

You can only get XII from prototype tech drops, and they are random, and hard to get

You can get XI from spending EDCs, so it is easier to get

You have to use the same Mark level of all three pieces in order to benefit from the cosmetics

That is incorrect. There is a costume that is unlocked for the X set. You are thinking of the MACO and Honor Guard X set, which do not unlock visuals.

One of the NPCs on DS9 (I believe the Orion woman) is wearing the X Omega costume. It is pretty bare-bones.

Omega X is the only MK X ground set to carry a visual unlock, I myself usually go for Omega X first for the costume and insta-remod unless I happen to get all rare tech drops before I get the edc for a recruit set.
