Fleet Carrier Pets, why not "very rare" at tier 3 and "ultra rare" at tier 5?

As a carrier user I was looking forward to the new better carrier pets you get from fleets but was disappointed to see that you unlock them first at Tier 5 science. My guess is that most fleets including mine will prioritize military and engineering for the new fleet ships and gear so getting to Tier 5 science will take a looong time.

I would suggest, instead of artificially upgrading the quality of the existing pets which leave only the new "ultra rare" quality for carrier pets to be unlocked through the fleets, why not have two new classes of pets, "very rare" at lets say Tier 3 science and "ultra rare" at Tier 5.

Since my Kar'Fi carrier hasn't got a fleet version, pets is the one thing I can upgrade(not counting space gear) on it and it would be nice to have something to look forward to earlier than at Tier 5 science which could be a year away.

Making one extra class of with stats somewhere in between wouldn't be that hard would it?

    i agree with you and see it same, kdf have from my side only one really great ship the karfi and it get with the new fleet system 0 so the only way to give hime some bonus is pets and you say it wait 1 year to get a small upgrade for the only usefull ship for kdf.


    thats overall very sad and i still not see any sense in upgrade starbase 1 year to get finally only a pet upgrade lol

    KDF has a lot of great ships but most of em are not availableas a Fleet version.
    I don't agree with two sets of Pet's there are already the ones for EC, then the one for dili and another set for FC soon.

    There is only a limited amount of utility you can put in a pet without making totaly OP or scale it so low that it just plane sucks.
    Squizzing in another tier does not improve the quality tho.

    Still i agree that the T5 unlock is to far away and should in general rather be a T3 or at max be a T4 upgrade at all.

    In case you aren't joking, there are indeed Ultra Rare items beyond Very Rare. Such as the Carrier pets at Tier 5 Science Star base.
