Raptors or Scourge

I'm looking at the Fleet Quin or the Fleet Somraw and trying to decide which one I want. Here are the stats:

Or I could get the fleet scourge now and then wait for the Somraw to get a raptor. Which is better, fleet somraw or fleet quin? Here is the scourge.

    I have the Garumba. The fleet scourge is just the garumba without siege mode and javelin beam more or less. So it might be a waste to get that. In that case I should either get the fleet quin now or wait for the somraw

    On the grounds that EPTS1x2 + Aux2SIF/RSP1 is always a good option, I'd go for the Somraw.
    Assuming you've a fleet base with a tier 2 shipyard, of course.

    Personally, I'm looking at a Fleet Vor'cha Retrofit... ;)

    I was thinking maybe the Quin because it has much more shields and hull. Quin's Shields are .91 + .18 +.18 with 2 consoles and somraw is .71 + .18 + .18 + .18 with 3. Quin totals 1.28 wheras Somraw is 1.25

    but then what are you going to do with 3 ensign abilities after getting tac team 1 and torpedo spread 1?

    I need to review the Qin vrs Fleet Qin, but I feel MUCH squishier in the Fleet Qin for some reason. I have a sneaking suspicion that I've lost shield multiplier... but I haven't taken the time to compare (as I'd need to re-buy a Qin to do so). I'm actually convinced on observed performance that regardless of the displayed numbers, I'm getting Somraw performance or something... its just weird.

    That said, based solely on the numbers, the Qin has the better hull, shield, AND crew for repairs. I don't see a reason to wait for Tier 2 to upgrade a Raptor.
