Ive heard of an exchange work around just not the actual method. Been hoping that the exchange woulda been fixed by now, especially with all the lock box stuff people are no doubt trying to sell.
I got a Fed Tholian warfare specialist (very rare) and even if i place it on the exchange then search for it i cant see the item. Hell i cant even get a price on its value the way it stands.
Im digging season 6 so far but i thrive on the exchange, please fix it!
I found searching categories specifically works, but "All" does not.

Inb4 Mike's "use the search function, there's a thread already about this" post.
Just think. In the time you wrote that, you could have given the poster the answer.
And you may have noted that I usually explain the work around and mention how one could have searched for the answer instead of waiting for an answer. Thank you for not noting that.
Thank you for wasting the posters time and insulting me. I;d report you but we all know that;s worthless.
When searching on the exchange, you have to pick the rarity in the drop down as well as the category along the left hand side. That way you get the current list.
It;s actually a long time bug that;s just gotten worse recently. Nothing in the most recent patch notes about the problem.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe it is actually "broken", I just think it is overwhelmed and that might not be "fixable".
Think about it, there are different "instances" that players get placed into so no one instance gets overwhelmed when 50 billion players all log on at the same time and try to play.
But the exchange only has one instance, and everything posted there by all players stays up for quite some time. The sheer number of items on the exchange has to be astronomical.
Expecting one database to be able to handle that sheer amount of data and queues from every player wanting to search for a specific item, would easily overwhelm the database.
If you're looking for a specific item, you need to use the search features. Personally I wish they'd get rid of the "all" category all together, and force people to use the search features.
The more specific your search criteria, the more successful you will be. With Season 6 just released, there are lot more players online than before. That means more items being placed onto and bought off of the exchange.

You should revisit one of your many posts where you have, yourself, told somebody to visit a link when a simple yes/no, or simple answer would have sufficed.

Nine times out of ten when I do that, I'm providing a link to a question that has been previously answered in that thread.
That's why you'll see Linkie or Reference before one of those links.
That way the person who is asking the question can see the discussion or the explanation in regards to their question.
if someone else has already answered the poster's question, why repeat the answer?
edit: Maybe instead of taking the time to insult another player, maybe you should take the time and try to help out?

I highly doubt an observation equals an insult.
I do help out, in-game.
Because, not everyone frequents the forums.
