Has anyone ontained any of these yet? How many do you get with your ship, and what do they do? Is their damage comperable to quantums or more like chroniton torpedos? Are they worth using?
i got one that i got with the web-weaver, and ive been loving it, they stop movement and drain shields quite well i think, used one say probes in kitomer accord stf and using torp spread makes quite an impact

No,
They can only be obtained with one of the 3 Tholian ships.
The Widow fighter has the shuttle version, the Orb and Recluse have the normal ship versions. Once you have them, you can put them on any ship you like however.
The HY version is best for full effect, but its slower and can be shot down. Also you want to keep away from splash back when it detonates or you will be affected.
Sorry for the bump, but you folks forgot to mention one important detail - they look absolutely amazing. Seperate Orbs of energy tied together by energy beams that orbit one another. When I first saw them I was pretty much
*ahem*
I only got an S one with the Widow Fighter. Are the stats on the normal versions from the capital ships different? Judging from the S version the damage is really a bit on the low side. But with two of them, 3 projectile doffs should produce a respectable rate of fire.
May help, may not. Grid is in there as well as the torpedoes.
That video didn't do justice to the bridge. It took me a while to figure out that since it is a Tholian Bridge and Tholians are pretty much crystalline spiders, then each wall is a workspace or door. Just need to get some graviton generators so my crew can use the other workspaces.
I'm not sure if anybody mentioned it, but: when you use this weapon with High Yield torpedo abilities, the drain effect changes to 100% chance for -50 drain in weapons and engine for 12 seconds. The normal torpedo is extremely "meh" because of its low damage, long cooldown, and small chance of affecting the target... but when you High Yield it, it is fabulously useful as a control/disable ability.
Though like somebody pointed out, watch out, because you can splash yourself with it. The damage is trivial but that -50 power drain is not fun.

We are only allowed to equip one per ship, for some reason.

May I ask how many points you have in Flow Capacitors? I have 9 points, and everyone with whom I've tested this reported a drain of 50 on their weapons and engines when using High Yield 3; if Flow Capacitors does not actually affect it, I'm going to ditch those skillpoints.
Comments
2177.7 damage (207.4 dmg per second)
15% chance to drain 15 weapon and engine power for 12 seconds (can be affected by flow capacitors)
+20% accuracy
so its light on damage, but has good accuracy and can do some impressive power draining.
What kinda of cooldown do they have if I may ask?
vids and guides and stuff
[9:52] [Zone #11] Neal@trapper1532: im a omega force shadow oprative and a maoc elite camander and here i am taking water samples
The DPS number implies a cooldown of about ten seconds.
^^^
Seems it works for spread.. will look into it myself...
Wonder how well of a torp boat it would make...

6 sec cooldown
Yes Sir, only Tholian < needed more letters to submit post lol
They have a 10 second cooldown, ive seen it happen and the stats support it.
doffs can sometimes make it go quicker which is why you may have seen 6 seconds.
ah thanks for correcting me then!, sorry about that. you're right its 10 secs
