when i used to play a while back it was so simple but i return to find the game is free and that great as i can play with all my casual gamer friends who wont pay to play a game we play one a week for a couple of hours so im happy with all the changed just very confused on so many diffrent currencys in game how do you know what to save up if i get loads zen i can use that to buy sertain ships if i get credits i can no longer buy ships so what do i do?
1.) Please clean up your post. It's rather unclear what you want to say.
2.) Dilithium is there to close the gap between "playing for free" and "pay" on a playerbased exchange.
Actually it is quite simple.
You can generate Dilithium Ore ingame and refine a limited amount (8.000 per character) per day.
Refined Dilithium is used to buy items or trade it for Zen.
Zen can either be bought via cash or Dilithium, closing the gap.
Zen can be used on a specific store for specific Items.
In the end it means: Grind your stuff for free over time, or make it quick by paying.
If this annoys you, don't look at all the other currencies available ... consensus is it's way to much.
firstly sorry for that got a kitten on me it likes the laptop and is a distraction.
So what your saying is that if i cant be botherd to save and have deep pockets buy zen now i like the idea of this however looking into buying ships not all are avaible to buy with zen and you say about converting zen into dilithium to buy the other ships? and im glad i spelt that right however whats the point of gold pressed latnum probaly spelt that wrong and energy credits i still notice that the exchange still uses this but no longer avaible to buy ships as i used to buy a few ships in each tier can you buy ship items with zen like weapons and consoles? also have noticed that the exchange prices have gone so high is this because energy credits are mostly worthless now?
Energy Credits, From now on referred to as EC is used as a Player based trade currency(IE the in game exchange, buying something from another player) Gold Pressed Latinum Is used mainly for the Dabo mini game and to buy a few thing from specific vendors. Dilithium is used in the Dilithium store to buy upgraded items for your character and your ship. It is also used to buy Other ships from the ship store and is used in the Dilithium Exchange to buy zen. Zen has taken the place of Cryptic points and is used in the Cryptic Store (from now on referred to as the C-store) to buy Special Items and Higher model ships that aren't available from any other store.
ok thanks for the info save my dilithium for the ships i want then what ever i cant get buy some zen for them alot easyer to understand once its explained
I just used the dilithium exchange for the first time to buy some zen, however I have recieved nothing. where is my zen?
It was converted to Zen but is still in the exchange. Open the exchange again and look for the button that says withdraw I believe. It will open a window asking how much then once selecting / confirming it will be deposited to your account and spendable in the C-Store.
hey, i have a nice large amount of GPL and am saving up to buy a FEDERATION Carrier (2500 zen) or 100,000,000EC how do i convert GPL to credits or Dilithiumum or ZEN?
And is ther a quicker way of earning stuff than the pvps, (15000 EC and 500 dilithium for 15 miutes)? i heard somehting about a tour of the universe mission but can't seem to find any mission like that, where do i find it?
Realistically you can't convert GPL to dilithium or EC at all. The only way to do it is by doing select Duty Officer Missions but these will only net you very small amounts of EC and Dilithium respectively to be worth doing en masse.
Tour the universe is only available for 1 hour every day. You should check the calendar of events by pressing the J key and scrolling to see when it is next on.
