New Lockboxes have great drops except...

...again there are consumables. Why must there ALWAYS be consumables? That's the only thing in the lock box that I actually had an argument with as being not worth what is paid for it, and again there's a bucketload of them available (and they're probably the most likely to drop too).

Why did you have to go and add them...again...:(

Well, there are things that have no business even being consumable. Why are combat pets consumables? Is it to prevent them being spammed in ground PvP or something? Given how cheap they are (and how far 20 charges will get you if you stretch it out), what's the difference?

The consumables and commodities are fine, think about it, you have to balance out the great stuff with something not so great. Besides your getting something out of it, would you rather it just be empty?

My biggest peeve is the Lobi crystal situation, again.

    A) Why are they doing away with ferengi stuff? It doesn't harm anyone by it being there. I hope they leave it in or at least adjust the prices of them (i.e 20% reduction)

    B) My issue with the crystals were NOT the amount of crystals given, it's the prices of the goods that made it absolutely ridiculous.

    300 Lobi for a BOFF?

Even if you received 4 crystals per box, which is the new minimum, it would take 75 keys to get that Boff. Yes i'm sure if you factor in some luck it will be less. Even 50 keys, your still talking about over 50$ for a Bridge officer, not a ship. With that, you could get the oddy pack, or (2) T5 escorts, or just about every ship costume in the game. Why on earth would you want to even strive towards that goal.

And there are others if you examine each item in the store.

No, it's ?50 (or whatever it converts to in various currencies) for the BOff, plus all the other stuff you got from the boxes. With a bit of luck, that ?50 could easily equate to the BOff, a ship (or even 2), and a shed-load of other bits and bobs such as Tholian DOffs.

ETA: Why is the GBP symbol not recognised on here???

You are stating that like they care.

Umm, have you paid attention to how this company (Cryptic) does its business and the terrible reputation it has with its client base that keeps up with such things?

Sorry to let you know that neighbor, but they really do not care. They will go for the easy buck, and silly folks will swarm yelling, take my money! for the new little bauble, as they rake in more and more money.

I can not blame them for doing it, it is the fault of the consumer base demanding the products, not the fact Cryptic is simply filling that demand. Heck in their shoes, I would to.

I have a gripe with them but, there are legal recourse's to those type of complaints.

Something that has at least a CHANCE of being useful. A blue duty officer, some commodities, ANYTHING but combat consumables.

Because let's face it, there's nothing in the game, even at elite difficulty, that cannot be beaten without consumables...so basically, there's no 'emergency' to save them for. And for normal gameplay, why waste the 'charge' when you don't need them to begin with?

Why not, as stated above, a non-consumable version of ground pets? I mean, it's not like we have unlimited device slots and can thus spam them an unlimited number of times. Why do they have to be consumable on top of that?

Actually, yes. That would at least save me the trouble of having to click 'Discard'. I'd rather have 1 Lobi than 250 consumables.

The only consumable in the lock box is the Fleet Credits XP boosts.

Everything else consumable is from the Lobi store, not lock boxes.

In that case, I humbly apologize for my rash post and misreading of the dev post. I've reread the post and it seems that there are in fact no consumable drops (a good thing I'll admit).

However, I'll be happy to not spend any lobi on any consumables. :D

I loved the consumables. Especially the Shield plus Health stim; they are quite useful. And the combat pets are fun to toss out once in awhile. What I really didn't care for were the armor and deflector boxes, those I found almost 100% useless. I like the idea of the lockboxes. I wish I could get keys some otherway than Zen, the exchange or the Dilithium Exchange, but oh well. I've played since beta and this game is better now than it was at launch. Pretty impressive for a free to play game. Sure, Star Trek purists might get a little peeved at the ships being released etc. But, this is a game and ships is what folks want. There is only so many Fed and KDF ships, and they have pretty much released most of them. Adding ships from other species makes sense.
