Removing engine trails

I know there was a mod out there that removed the engine trails but the site isn't there anymore. Does anyone still have a copy of this that they wouldn't mind PM'ing me?

    Why dont you right-click on the engines u are currently using and press disable visuals?

    But yes, U -> select ship -> right click on the engines -> disable visuals should work but I haven;t tried it. I like mine. :)

    I'm not talking about the specialty engine trails from gear. I'm talking about the crappy default ones that you cannot turn off.

    you can turn it off somehow. I managed to do that with a graphics option (dunno which). just take back most of the stuff to medium, and restart the game, and hope they are gone :)
