So, let me know if this sounds the best way to get fleet credits...
Be in your own/very small fleet, so no/little competition in filling the project mat queues. That way you earn fleet credits rapidly. Then after you've stocked up, you move to a big fleet that's built the starbase/shipyard/etc so you can buy stuff.
Only issue I'd see in this is the Fleet Marks. You'll need to do alot of grinding to fill the fleet mark queue yourself or with a small fleet.
Cause right now, I barely get to contribute to our fleet's projects because it's always full! So, is being in a BIG fleet worth it if I don't get to earn any Fleet Credits in order to buy things when they are available?
1. Queue up 3 Projects
2. Fill everything you can except the Fleet Marks.
3. Close the fleet (taking your Credits with you)
4. Create a new fleet and repeat
Or get with a fleet thats willing to do the special projects. They complete in 30 mins and chew huge amounts of stuff up. It's nearly impossibbel for any fleet to perpetually fill those up without over prolific contributers running dry.

This. Serious resource churn. There's a reason why the descriptions barely even try to stay in character and end up just saying, "This project ensures your fleet's ability to generate fleet credit."
Over contributors won't just run dry flooding them constantly, they'll just be wasting materials generating far more fleet credit than they're likely to spend.

Not much fun though
