DOff UI - Season 6 feedback

you sure did a number on the DOff UI with the S6 update.

#1 my eyes bleed from the new colors...
i don't know what it is, i can't put my finger on it...
i have to look twice as hard now to see what assignments i want to start.

maybe it is because all the icons now have such an extra bright border,
i can't see the icon itself at a glance anymore, my eye catches only the borders ( = too high contrast)?




#2 the latency of the DOff UI itself is so high if i hurry i can even start the same assignment 2 times.
strangely enough this is not limited to the DOff UI but when i accept normal missions they don't react either

    The only think I do not like is the button that says switch with assigned DOFF. I liked it better when the button was just assign bridge officer. Sometimes when i was in a rush to set up DOFF missions I would just mash the button to have the candidates picked by the department heads slotted into missions. Once it was full the button would go dark and then i hit start mission. Now if you mash the button it will fill all the spots and just change the last splot over and over. Minor annoyance but I guess they wanted to make it less of a pain in the rear to change out somone be having to remove the officer first then slot a new one by just being able to switch two.

    It's all well and good that quality is much easier to see, however . . . it's harder to tell Doff faction in the exchange.

    {edited because I found inconsistency}

    Can we at least have a *blue* background for the Federation ones, and *red* for the KDF, as opposed to them being randomly either all red or all blue?

    background color is department -> red = tac , blue = sci etc.

    but i agree the background color would be better if it was just the faction's color
    usually you filter for specific types anyway

    Okay, that explains the color difference but it's not especially useful.

    Ideally, I wouldn't even be seeing wrong-faction Doffs on the exchange anyways . . .

    I'm fine with the changes in colors and whatnot. What bothers me to no end is that a system that had relatively few bugs before the launch yesterday is now riddled with bugs. Like this silly ability to take on the same assignment twice if you hurry. Or the fact that DOFFs who are on assignment no longer get taken out of the available pool of recommended officers when you're planning assignments. Or that you no longer stop getting recommendations of who to slot when you've filled up all the slots. Or the fact that you can sort by "recent recruits" and get half your roster. So far, my review of Season 6 is not glowing.

    The fact that it no longer automatically changes from "fill slots" to "start assignment" is a somewhat annoying change. It means I have to read more carefully or just know beforehand how many people I need, rather than stopping when I have enough.

    Having to start the various recruitment assignments twice to get them to "take" is a bit maddening.

    I'm hating the new color scheme as well. I already bought 3 expensive doffs, and it took awhile before I realized they were KDF, and not FED.

    As I get most of my doffs from the exchange, this is slowing down progress considerably. I'm considering lowering my resolution about half so I can have an easier time distinguishing between factions. :(

    I can't say "somewhat"... I say it is super annoying. I have only three char's and it takes a lot more time to get them done, and I can imagine how it is when you have 6 or more.

    If you're having issues with distinguishing between Fed and KDF doffs... just right click on the Doff before buying.

    There's a lot of clicking to find all the available missions... maybe have one place to see ALL the missions without checking with all the department heads/first office individually?

    Maybe this exists? I am new as of last week. ;)

    Seems like heavy lag when picking up doff assignments you have to wait like a minute in between picking up each one and also if you do it too fast you end up if you picked the same doff it does this thing where it will fail the pick up of all the recent missions you pick up due to the lag of the system.
