Fleet Merge?

With the release of season 6, fleets have become a more integral and beneficial part of Star Trek Online. Right now there are hundreds of fleets online and many of them are very small. These small fleets will have a difficult time improving their starbases and services. Perhaps we could find a way to merge smaller fleets into a larger, unified one. Any ideas, anyone/fleets interested?

Well if there are any inactive Fleet members that are over the age of 30 and looking for a mature casual fleet where the social part of the game is the most important we could certainly help out with that demographic. We started this fleet when we found it was hard to find a fleet that was laidback and casual but always had people in-game. It took us a year to get there but we now even have a good presence in the UK time zones.

I don?t want to poach form, anyone if they have an idea of merging into one Fleet but I really think that we have something fantastic and if you need any help setting something else out we would like to offer our helping hand (if needed)

the main goal would be to combine fleets of -20 people or so to improve player availability and resource gathering so that members of small fleets could reach tier 5 services more quickly

I would be willing to help merge fleets. I would love to incorporate some of the smaller fleets into my own. The Federation Rangers are a 118 member fleet, and always looking to expand. We almost always have someone online, and are closing in on our first Starbase upgrade. If anyone would be interested, let me know. I would be willing to incorporate the command structure of your small fleet into that of my own.

The Armada Fleet would be more than willing to take on some new members!

As much as I would love to merge my fleet with others, the problem is that I (and I'm sure other fleet leaders) don't want to lose their fleet's identity. We want to merge, but only if we keep our fleets.

We would be interested to negotiate on merging our fleet (24Hr Party People), we have council of 5, who decide everything. we all recently started the fleet so we still have a long way to go before we can get most projects done. I would be interested in becoming allies, where our fleet members join forces for Fleet Marks missions. This way we'll have higher chances of getting the most out of the missions plus more fleet marks. PM me in-game

tbh I love what u guys are doing , I do have to say though a active fleet of 5-8 can do as nicely as a biggerfleet we always get our projects done on time and we ussually only have a max8 active.

you are right, fleet of 5-8 can do, but I am looking for more contributions towards the fleet projects. That can only happen if everyone is just grinding missions with the aim to contribute.

Akalayus, how would you propose to merge and still keep your fleet identity? I would love to hear your suggestions. Like I said, I would love to incorporate some smaller fleets into my own, but I would also like you to keep your identity. Kind of like a sub group kind of thing. Just let me know how you would like to do it.

I'll be honest, I don't want to abandon my own fleet if I merge with another. Especially since I've personally put a lot of resources into my starbase already (like the 200K dilithium windows).

So seanaldusmagnus, I appreciate the offer (I think you were offering to absorb us), but I must decline at this time.

Since you were asking for ideas to help get people to merge that are concerned about losing their fleet identity, here are some things that I think gaining fleets should offer or at least discuss with merging fleets:

    1. Offer the Merging Fleets' officers a place in your fleet. Even if you don't want to share power, at least allow them to be officers in your fleet. By doing this the new fleet won't be dominated by the original, gaining fleet. Think of the Marquis in Voyager.

    2. Discuss the possibility of renaming the new merged fleet and creating a new logo. Larger, well known fleets might not want to do this, but smaller fleets like mine should definitely consider and discuss this.

If anyone has any other ideas, please share!

What we need is an alliance system where fleets of the alliance system contribute to the projects equally.
