Hmm, bummer. I just bought the Tuffli for my main Klingon on the exchange. I wonder if it affects the call security transport which has a 2 hour cooldown for tribble, contraband turn-ins.
Disappointed but not at all surprised. So easy to exploit with almost no work and stock up huge amounts of dilithium with, particularly with Klingon characters.

Farming dilithium / contraband was the only reason to have a Klingon toon. I wish I could use that slot for a Feddy character now.
I was so annoyed when I logged on this morning only to find that now 5 Contraband was needed. And before anyone jumps on me - I know it's been on Tribble - I just hadn't been on Tribble for a long time.
To be honest, I do feel that effort had to involved - if you wanted to accumulate dilithium that way then you had to accumulate the EC to pay for the Contraband off the exchange (and therefore had to earn it somehow) or else use DOFF missions (hardly efficient at 1 Contraband per mission) - it still immersed you in the game.
I had intended to try and collect enough to pay for a ship via the CP to Dil Exchange. Unfortunately that was already hard - and now almost impossible.
Obviously, this will impact (and depend on) game economics - but we'll see if the ZEN:Dil rate changes or whether Contraband does come down on the exchange.
But I do think it's just another way of encouraging people to spent nearly ?18 on one ship and limiting their non-monetary options...
you know... this change wouldn't be so bad if the new Fleet Missions that we all will have to do a lot also gave some amount of Dilithium instead of just Fleetmarks.
i really have a hard time figuring out how to manage a daily DOff, STF and Fleetmission grind...
less Dil from doffing
and
no Dil from Fleet stuff = even more need to play STFs...
( and no 2880 dil will get me back to play B'Tran dailies ! )

Appears to be a no to that. I just started the contraband assignment, left K-7 and had one of these in orbit. It was still grayed out.

Yeah, that's how it is, sadly
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
My thoughts exactly.
